He deserves to be in a good comic book movie. He was one of the very few good things about man of steel. Extremely underrated actor. I still think eric dane would be the perfect Cable, but I can support this.

Have no idea about his politics, couldn't care any less. He'd make a pretty solid damn Cable. Jon Hamm is Rob Liefields choice. He definitely has the comedic timing to match Reynolds and be the straight man

Honestly, Dolph Lundgren if he were a little younger and a better actor. Although his roll in Rocky 4 wasn't much different than Cable as far as his demeanor. He might could still pull it off.

Yeah, I've always thought someone along that line - aging action star - would be right for Cable. I was looking at the cast for The Expendables and didn't really see a perfect Cable, but that's the type of guy I would look for. Grizzled and terse.

I guess Shannon is a good possibility. There's a part of me that thinks someone like Dolph L would be physically a near perfect match, but I wonder if you can pay Chuck Norris an extra couple million to shave his beard and go grey to play the part.

Never read the comic but I enjoy the movies. So I went looked up Cable and as soon as I saw his pic I immediately thought Ron Pearlman.

His acting was damn good. The plot/writing of that movie was damn bad.
