He used his ill-gotten loot to pay for acting lessons and resurfaced as Kevin Spacey

Wasn't this Holden Caufield's older brother? I always think that when I hear his name.

This story has always fascinated me. I still think it's the guy the FBI killed after he hijacked another plane.

Yeah what a lot of people don't realize is that he spawned several copycats who had various degrees of success doing the same thing (ransoming money and parachuting out of the rear stair of a 727). So 1) It is possible to carry out and land alive 2) He may have been one of the later guys, doing it again, and been killed that time

What's crazy are the amount of suspects.

He could've been a copycat, but he had the credentials and looked just like him.

There is a replay of the first episode at 6 pm Central before tonight's 8pm Central part 2.

When the part 2 ends at 10 pm I'm going to turn over to AMC and watch The Making of the Mob: Chicago "Capone's First Kill"
Johnny Torino mentors Capone in Brooklyn, and then the two reunite in Chicago, where their bootlegging enrages local Irish gangsters.

That is premiering at 9:00 pm Central.

I don't think it was Richard McCoy. Tina Mucklow and Florance Shaffner (the flight attendants that night) surely would've told the FBI after McCoy was killed that he was the one that hijacked flight 305.

Then why couldn't the flight attendants confirm that? Why didn't the FBI say it was Cooper and close their notorious case?

I like it so far.

It doesn't feel like Geraldo Rivera's AL Capone's vault yet anyway.
