Concerns about Star Wars TFA?

My biggest worry is that it's going to be basically for Star Wars what Into Darkness was for Star Trek. Just a big rehash of an old story. They'res yet another Death Star. There's a loner on a desert planet who dreams of something bigger. There's a big battle on an ice planet. There's a "new" R2D2. Everything we've seen so far is recycled imagery from the Original Trilogy.

I'm sure it will be better than whatever Lucas would have done but I'm tempering my expectations to be honest.

It's actually a DIFFERENT desert planet, which in a way is worse.

Yeah. It's not tatooine.

I've seen many fans worrying about JJ just making a "greatest hits" movie for Star Wars.

I agree with you DS. I do think it'll be a "good" movie, but that might not be good enough considering the amount of hype for this film.

Like I've heard said many times before:

What if it's just a movie?

How much shite will be talked on here?

I never got why the planets in Star Wars were always single terrain. Snow Planet, Swamp Planet, City Planet, Tree planet. Just strange. You can have every extreme in Star Wars in one earth continent.

I'm guessing because on Earth you can get every type of terrain on one continent is exactly why they made whole planets like that, because that would be "strange" and "Sci fi-y."

Makes total sense to me

I'm ok with single terrain, just give me something new. How about a mountain planet or something?

The prequels had an earth like planet, an urban planet, a desert planet, an ocean planet, a rocky planet, and I'm sure I'm missing a couple.

The more and more in see breakdowns of the trailers the more I'm sure this will play out exactly like A New Hope.

Or why Star Wars in general loves having massive space battles above deserted planets
