Teen Mom is still MTV's highest rated show. Time to bring some of them in.

no fricking way.

are you the one is a pretty perfect cast pool. it's a bunch of good looking 20 somethings that were getting liquored up and saying stupid shite. perfect. i dunno about the john and simone pick, but it doesnt really matter since they are already done.

IMO they need another Fresh Meat because these 'vets' that keep coming back are awful. At this point, the chances of actual vets like Kenny, Evan, Brad, Veronica, Landon, etc coming back are slim to none

Agreed.

Although I did watch the "We Love Diem" thing last night (aired after the episode the night before) and Evan was on it. I know it's not a challenge, but maybe it's a step closer to him or Kenny getting back on TV. Doubtful, but who knows.

They really need to either do a fresh meat angle, or a champions angle and bring back the heavy hitters. My only guess on that is that the cast themselves aren't too interested, because there's no way in my mind that MTV hasn't tried to put something like that together yet.

It's a real shame they couldn't get Ronnie and Sammi to do the Battle of the Exes.

I would love to see ole Sloppy Joe running around the challenge house WRECKing fools.

Jwow and Roger might be ok too but Roger is in his 40s so he kinda old for this.

So is Mark, and I feel like he can still compete with dudes half his age.

Are Jwoww and Roger not together anymore? I haven't kept up with that since Jersey Shore ended, but I thought they were on the Jwoww/Snooki show together.

Huh?

That wasn't my point at all.

It was simply how the some labeled as 'vets' like Jemmeye, Nani, Zito, Jasmine, Jonah, Etc all suck. They are a waste of space. If you can't get true vets like CT, Wes, Landon, Mark, Veronica, Laurel, Paula, Alton, etc back, then at least do a Fresh Meat to bring in new blood

Think back to both fresh meat seasons and what we got from them.

Agreed as well. I'm sure MTV has tried some shite but the themes of late won't bring anyone back

Plus most of the true vets are 30-plus and have lives/kids/wives/jobs

The shelf life on these people is much quicker now. The latest cast of Real Worlders are 25-26. Before, they used to be 19-23 and could feasible be on challenges for 5-7 years before they actually had to get a life

They're married now. Roger is all roided up like Wes and Kenny used to be. At his age he looks like he'd tear a ligament on the first challenge. Mark doesn't look like he juices though I'm sure he does a little of something.

Fresh Meat II was a total flop when it came to guys. Noor was an incredible athlete but never came back on. Everyone else was fairly average and the only ones who came back were Luke, Vinny, and Brandon. Totally forgettable.

The girls delivered though with Laurel, Cara Maria, Theresa, and Mandi.

And FM1 totally helped carry the show for a while with Ev, Kenny, Evan, Diem, and the greatest competitor of all time: Casey

All solid. If they did another Fresh Meat and ended up with 8 or so that made a repeat appearance and 4-5 that turned into regulars it would help a lot.

Had to be ratings...I know I stopped watching after like season one (maybe two). That show just never really appealed to me like RW or others did.

I always liked Road Rules, but that was back before I had a DVR so I didn't keep up like I do now.

Looking at a list of seasons, I didn't realize RR had so many. 14 seasons over 12 years. Wow. I knew there were a good bit of them (and enough to pull from for the RW/RR Challenge, which was waht it was originally), but that's a lot more than I would've guessed.

And looking at the names, not many of them are familiar to me outside of the challenge shows (or the challenges that took place on certain RW seasons).

Ratings

The sad part is....the ratings that RR garnered the season it was cancelled would be higher than pretty much every show on MTV right now. It just came at a bad time I feel like

Somehow exes 2 is doing decently (by MTV standards) with ratings. I figured they'd dip a good bit with the awful time slot.

Most of them won't come back because the restrictions they put them under while living under are absurd. Some of these people have families. You think they would come on here when they can only use the phone once a week for like 10 minutes.

I feel like the exes theme probably cost Cory a chance at being on this season.

Good point. I forgot about some of them.

Apparently Cory and Brian wanted to be on the current season but their exs didn't. Expect them to be on the next challenge. Both are meatheads.

Irv Gotti is a dud, but Thomas seems decent. Those 3 dudes plus idiot Jenna could be mainstays for a while
