watched it on HBO Saturday night. Ed Helms, John C. Reilly, Anne Heche, and Isiah Whitlock Jr.(Clay Davis from the Wire) were all great. If you are interested in an under the radar comedy, I highly recommend it. Anyone else seen it?

If you have HBO, you've pretty much been forced to.

Solid movie.

Best part was easily:

Thought it was one of worst movies I've ever seen, one of probably a handful I've rented and haven't finished ever.

We've all been that guy at one point in our lives.

And yes, best part of the movie.

I couldn't finish it, so awful. I get the type of humor they were going for but I just didn't think it was enjoyable.

Also, the best under the radar comedy is " a good old fashioned orgy" iMHO.

+1

The ending just seemed very rushed, though. I dont know if it was shot sequentially, but it seemed to be moving along fine, then wrapped up in like 3 minutes.

Fairly entertaining, slow many a time. No biggie, but no steaming pile (like some have said) either.

I enjoyed it more than most modern comedies I've seen. It's far from "one of the worst movies ever".

I thought it was great too. Genuine real life humor.

Caught it this past summer while on vacation, probably on HBO like someone mentioned. I really liked it, but it's nothing that special about it. It's just a decent movie that I'd probably watch again if it just happened to be on and I have time to kill.

i really loved it.

I kinda identified with it, though I'm nothing like Tim Lippy.

I had to go to a work conference in Albany, NY and it was full of the same corny bs and crappy hotel bar like in Cedar Rapids

didnt have to share a room though

I love John C. Reilly's character in the movie. And I think Reilly nailed it. He is the guy everybody knows, he's been around forever, and plays up his pseudo-tough guy image at the conference every year. But his underwear scene with Lippy in the hotel room before his meeting with the chairman shows that he really does care and can be a good friend.
