Watched both again over the weekend. Can't Hardly Wait is such a better movie. It didn't get the respect it deserved, while American Pie got the praise during that time. Agree/Disagree?

and JLH.

90's had terrible, terrible teen comedies.

80's was where it was at.

RIP Hughes.

I like Can't hardly wait...

But that it's the best, clearly...is saying something about the decade.

Dazed and Confused was the best teen comedy of the '90s...

co-sign. CHW is vastly superior to American Pie.

80's and 90s are pretty packed actually. I'd say the 80's were superior, but the 90s were great too.You probably just weren't a teen in the 90's.

And yeah, someone else thinks the 70's had great teen comedies....and someone else the 60's and so forth.

There's a reason teen comedies are so attached to their decade, they are very much a product of their time.

American Pie is a way better teen comedy.

However, Not another teen movie is the GOAT spoof movie and possibly the GOAT of the teen comedy genre.

All true.

What you said.

But John Hughes had his pulse on it.

Nobody drink the beer! The beer has gone bad!

I was in high school in the late 90's so this movie holds a special place in my heart.

I never liked American Pie. Can't Hardly Wait wins by default.

Great movies, both of them

She's all that is also a great one, although it ventures further on the chick movie side than these two do

Not another teen movie is one of those rare comedies where every line is a joke and every joke is fricking hilarious (Walk hard is my favorite movie that is like this)
