Doesn't look good coach.

Can he play?

He's in a coma...

Answer my question, can he play?!

I don't think he can breathe we have to get him to a hospital.

You listen to me right now, I don't care what you have to do, Reggie Ray stays in the game goddamnit!!

Billy Bob/Reggie Ray -Ron Lester

The goddamm Varsity Blues spoof was a great goddamn part of that goddamn movie, goddamnit.

Also:

Hey Ricky, what'd you do this weekend?

Well, Friday night I stood outside your window - in the pouring rain - screaming your name for several hours. And then I spent all of Saturday and Sunday making you this great "Janey I've Been Desperately Trying To Tell You That I Am Madly In Love With You" mmmmmmix Tape... for your birthday.

JLH's character dated an idiot. Shannon's was all in for freaky town with random nerds. Point for Shannon. Plus JLH's character just seems like it be a one way train to annoying bitch town.

I wasn't talking about the characters, I was talking about the actresses.

can't really compare dazed and confused to AP and CHW because D&C is set in the 70s.

It was set in the '70s, but it had a huge influence on suburban and rural middle class white kids in the '90s. It was on in the background at half of the house parties I went to. Do we have a That '70s Show without the underground wave of '70s nostalgia carried by kids born in the late '70s and early 80's who wore out their VCRs playing Dazed and Confused during their formative years in the '90s? I don't think so.

I was a teen in the 90s. American Pie came out on my 17th birthday. Much funnier to me at that point in my life. and NADIA

I give that movie so much credit for promoting shaved beavers for my generation

still full of over the top nonsense that never actually happens in the real world (just like every other 90s teen movie)

Varsity Blues hit home more than any of them, just because they captured high school athletics in a small town and how everyone obsessed over them. The blonde girl was every stereotypical meal ticket searching high school chick I ever met.

She's still top 5 and its not even a question. She has aged as well as anyone else from that era.

My high school football team quoted Not another teen movie non freaking stop.

At practice, during games, its one of the reasons when I watch the movie it takes me right back to those days.

"but coach what about 4th string!"

"I did it, I'm a hero!"

"wham bam what the fu*k just happened!"

and I always loved the motivational poster in the background that was like Rules for success #1 don't fu%k up
