Can someone please explain the lack of love/attention/awards for Justified?

As far as completed series go, Justified is in my top five of all time. It moves around behind The Wire and BB which will always be 1/2.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the Emmy nominations after it closed out this year. It was one of the most consistently fantastic series that has ever been on TV and it's series finale was one of the best that has ever been laid down.

Season 2 of Justified is one of the best seasons of TV that has ever been made.

Is it just gonna take people a while?

this is true

but the other seasons had major issues. they should have condensed it all to 2 more seasons, max. they just did too much and watered it down

now if you want to talk disrespect, the americans is SORELY ignored by media/awards

I guess Homeland is just that much better than Justified or The Americans, lol.

Justified was set in an unpopular genre, the Western, and it was a little too smart for its own good.

People prefer more mundane television.

That final scene between Raylan and Boyd is one of my favorite scenes ever. It was absolutely perfect

I barely got by season 2. I just didn't care for any of the characters.

If season 2 wasn't for you then the show just wasn't your cup of tea. That was the best season.

Raylan and Boyd are easily my favorite TV characters ever.

That 5th season with Michael Rappaport as Dewey's cousin dragged on forever, cut that season out and its an insanely good series with no real drop off.

I kind of liked the stand alone episodes in Season 1 more-- the Hitler paintings one is a great little stand alone story, as is the one the dude with the trust fund who wants to extort the bookie.

Its hard to figure out who the best secondary character on the show was- Loretta, Limehouse and Wynn Duffy all kick arse.

Yep. All very strong supporting characters.

All I know is Wynn Duffy was part of my favorite scene/line in the entire series.

Got to be Duffy, even if just for the eyebrows.
