Wondering if I should give it a watch. Has anyone seen this? Recommendations? It looks like two seasons so far - does anyone know if this is an anthology series, or are the two seasons connected? TIA

First season was very good.
I resisted watching for a while b/c of the subject matter (missing child), but the way the story is structured (alternating past and present) allows you to detach from the parents' suffering b/c you know the outcome.
Definitely worth a watch if you like well crafted crime drama.

This is kind of a hard question to answer without giving slight spoilers. But, it's a great show. Should definitely check it out if you are interested in the genre.

is this show on Netflix like some of the other BBC crime shows? if not, I would imagine that it is on Kodi/Exodus?

to those of you who've watched the show, how would you compare it to shows like Luther, Marcella, and The Killing?

the first one is depressing as hell, not sure if you have kids or not.

I do, but they are both grown.

I haven't watched season 2, but season 1 was:
More of an emotional drama than Luther. I'd call Luther more a psychological thriller.
Much better than The Killing, which just meandered around from one dead end to another for two seasons.
I haven't seen Marcella.
It is probably more similar to Broadchurch. Or maybe 5 Days (don't recall seeing that mentioned around here).

Not really. One major character appears in both seasons, but the stories are individual ones. I actually watched the 2nd season 1st.

Yep. Most underrated show on TV. The acting and writing is amazing. Def worth a watch.
