Breaking Bad. I just finished it. Obvious SPOILER potential.

1. It ended somewhat realistically depressing. Walter got them in the end, but he didn't really win. Kid hates him. His actions cause many deaths of those closest.

2. I assume his treatment of Jesse was just a long term mind frick to allow him to move on with a life, and make the end believable to the bad guys.

3. Where do I go now? Mad Men down. And I am not really a zombie guy or castle movie guy as in G.O.T. Where does my binge watching go from here?

Others thoughts on the show and it's ending.

BTW I thought it was good. But Hank getting capped really kicked me in the gut.

One of the greatest TV experiences I've ever been a part of. Undoubtedly a top 3 show I've seen, and Ozymondius I would say is the greatest hour of television I've seen.

Just a truly masterful show. I've heard people say "I watched the first 15 minutes and couldn't get into it"...those people are idiots.

ozymondious.

I enjoyed mad men next to last show more. Breaking Bad was incredible too, but while Mad Men was bittersweet in that episode BB was just a gut punch.

He got about as much of a win as was really appropriate. He got his family set up with money. He got revenge on the white supremacists and saved Jesse. And he died where he belonged, in the lab.

I'm not sure what you mean. At first he was just acting cold to Jesse at the end to set up the supremacists and get close enough to Jesse to save his life. They parted about as amicably as possible. There was still a lot of bad stuff that had passed between them, especially on the part of Walter, but they both knew it was just time to move on. Walter tried to get Jesse to kill him in a kind of assisted suicide, but Jesse needed to just clean his hands and try to start completely fresh.

I would suggest reconsidering GOT and watching just the first episode to see if it draws you in. It's very well made.

Other than that Fargo is a good suggestion. I've also been watching The Man in the High Castle on Amazon Video. It's pretty cool.

Also, I wine about where I go from here, but what about AMC? They had Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Walking Dead all at one time. Now only one remains.

Go Homeland or Dexter next. Both are extremely well done and both have hours of watching for you to get into. Something that's a little different than those but equally as awesome is Peaky Blinders. Also, if you want a short mini series and are into WWII, Generation War is about the best thing Ive ever seen on WWII. (yup, even better than Saving Private Ryan IMO).

Seasons 6-8 were so bad, I don't look back on 1-4 as fondly as I would have had I never seen 6-8

I've heard this about Dexter. Can't see watching a show that most agree the end is horrible.

We're in middle of season 4 right now. I cant fathom how it gets so bad? I dont understand what could possibly happen that would make the show go to crap.

My wife hates movies and tv with action/violence. Will refuse to watch any of it. That being said, she thinks Breaking Bad was amazing and her second favorite series. Second only to Sex in the City of course.

I didn't hate the doomsday killer season. 6 maybe? I despised the others after 4.

This. Or true detective season 1 if you haven't seen it.

I thought we would have to wait some time before a show came on that touched the level of breaking bad. Turns out we didn't have to wait long at all. Fargo exceeds it and first season of true detective at least matched it.

Were you actually pulling for Walter? He was a murderous villain who destroyed his own family. Good riddance.

Give the Walking Dead a chance. I felt alone and scared after breaking bad ended for me. I thought I could NEVER love another show as much as I did BB. I thought I could never love a lead character as much as Walter White....

In steps the Walking Dead and Rick Grimes and I am whole again.

go to him....
