If you have Amazon you could go for one of the big HBO series other than GoT- Deadwood, The Wire, Boardwalk, the Sopranos.

My favorite Jesse Pinkman scene and one of my favorite scenes of any tv show. Jesse's group therapy session in the episode "Problem Dog". Aaron Paul

The Americans. And if you haven't yet seen the series, binge watch The Shield in a week or two.

I would suggest just watching the first three episodes of walking dead. I'm definitely not a zombie person but the show really is good entertainment. I also really like homeland.

Anyone know of a way to catch up on Fargo? I would like to start from beginning but fx now sucks on Apple TV

Take a break. You just fricked Scarlett Johansson. You will need a few days to recover.

Seriously, Dexter is good. You will not have the same feeling you did watching Breaking Bad. But its a good watch. But long. And dont listen to these fools. The first 4 seasons were best but the last 4 were certainly worth a watch.

Bloodline was good to me after Breaking Bad. I am about to finish The Blacklist and them move on to "Better Call Saul"

Good luck

TWD is one of the worst written shows on television. I'm surprised it hasn't been canceled yet...but alas people love them some zombies.

Replace the zombies with killer parrots and the show doesn't make it past season 3.

Watched the whole series once a while back, then moved on to Better Call Saul, then watched BB again. Now on to House of Cards. First 2 seasons have been awesome.

The whole damn series was depressing.

I've been on a historical fiction kick, so I suggest Tudors, Vikings, or Spartacus. I'm currently watching Pillars of the Earth which I'm enjoying, and World Without End was great. My current favorite show is Last Kingdom on BBC America. It's almost finished with the first season and Amazon has it I think.

EVERYBODY says that.....but if you watch walking dead

Hook line and sinker. You'll eat two trucks of cow dung and apologize to your eyes and soul for depriving them for 5.5 seasons...

watching his son enter the house from around the corner/through the window was a pretty damn powerful scene

Skip the show, read the comic. Then watch the show if you like it, and then you can see where the producers really went off the deep end.

I was that person. Watched the first episode and thought, meh. Picked it back up after season one, randomly drunk one night when my wife had gone to bed and man, I am glad I did. Hands down one of the greatest watching experiences of my life. Looking forward to watching again in a few years.

To the OP:
I've been watching the 100 and have been surprisingly enjoying it.

Definitely would recommend The Wire. Personal favorite of mine is Justified. Not as "gritty" as BB but a really cool show.
