My take on a few things:
1. When Hector tells Gus "The only reason you arent dead is because I know who you are" this is referring to Gus being a Chilean national which they mentioned during the interrogation.
2. I think the fact that Gus had no papers from Chile is going to play some important role. I'm trying to cross how Hector would have known who Gus was with how the DEA cant find any paperwork on Gus in Chile. These two things dont add up.
3. I dont think Gus is gay. That wasnt the impression I got during that scene.
4. Gus is obviously just torturing Hector at this point. I dont think there is anything else to those visits.

Not just a Chilean national, but perhaps someone from the corrupt and evil govt. Like a captain in the secret police or some such shite. Someone with lots of old world big time connections. He's hiding out, but the bad guys know he's not to be fricked with.

I've been lurking this site for years and I'm finally compelled to post. Im almost positive Gus was involved in the Chilean military in some capacity. Remember (in season 3 I believe) the flashback scene with Hector and the twins when they were boys, he was talking to a cartel member On the phone and referred to Gus as "generalissimo". Gus definitely has a shady past in Chile

In that scene he was mocking Gus,calling him "Big Generalissimo".He also said not to trust South Americans that they are "dirty".

Also is Hector and the Bell-Ringer the same?

409SneakPeek!

Just found this, it's the 409 Sneak Peek, Walt & Hank going back to get Chicken Man's GPS tracker. I can't listen to sound at work, can someone give me the highlights of what's being said, it's killin me, lol.

Haven't heard anyone talk about the previews at the end of 408, what did you think? Isn't Walt about to get waxed, again? Jesse knows about it?

That is the big question. A lot of people think he was with the military in Chili. I'm thinking he may be the son of some Chilean drug lord.

A son of a Chilean drug lord who was forced out on his own due to being gay.

Son of a son of a sailor, who became a Chilean drug lord, then a rebel, but straightened out & went over to the government as a ruthless interrogator, but went back to a life of crime thanks to a gay family member in the cartel.

Same here. And I didn't even think about what Hector said about those guys "liking what they saw" during the pee.

What I picked up was the emotional outburst from Gus after the murder. It just seemed more similar to a man weeping for his lover rather than just losing a business partner.

Did you hear how Gus was crying? I bet that's the last time he's ever shed a tear. Perhaps that's when he learned to be stone-cold ruthless.

I agree. I didn't mean to make it sound otherwise. I think that kid was hid gay lover. Paid for his education? "He's my partner!" "Please forgive him!"

Yup. Gay lovers.

In that scene they referred to each other as "brothers". I don't know if they were actual blood related brothers, you know with different Daddys or Mothers or just reffered to each other as brothers because they were tight, but that's how they referred to each other with the one they shot sayin he would be nowhere if it wasn't for my brother Gus sending me to college.

so Gus probably took it hard when they shot him right in front his eyes, thus the crying. I will say though that Gus does have a gay look until he flips the crazy switch and starts box cutting motherfrickers up!

Max said that Gus picked him up out of the slums of Santiago and made him into the man he was. Did you know the name they used for Max was the Crazy 8's actors real name.
