I think the backstory showed that the cartel refused to get involved with meth and missed out on a serious opportunity to make money. Now they're trying to stop Gus.

You're probably right, that's gotta be the main motive. Killing Walt is probably a sideshow, especially with the nephew thing, too.

Meanwhile, Hank kind of lost it with the turtle head episode in the past. Wonder if he's going at this so hard, not only to get back at the cartel for his shooting, but also for his own soul and sanity - so he can make another stand during the next crunch time - since he folded like a tent after the showdown in the desert and the shooting in the parking lot.

I keep wondering why Walt feels so comfortable talking to Jesse at Jesse's house of rave. Didn't the text Jesse got confirm Gus has someone listening? Is the place not bugged?

Text: "Meeting is off. Something came up."
Or was that a coincidence and it just happened at that time and Jesse is already doing what Walt is thinking ahead of time.

I think is shows Walt that Jesse is becoming more loyal to Gus. Of course that is what Walt is thinking right now.

Walt is thinking Jesse just lied to me about having limited to no contact to Gus. And now his meeting with Gus was just canceled. Hmmm.

Though Jesse is just playing the game and I think in someway trying to protect the "reckless" Walt at this time.

Maybe I'm just over-analyzing.

Yeah, that's a good point about Jesse not being on the up with Walt, but also seems to be a step ahead of him. That's another great aspect to this show, so many angles to each scene.

And the flashback scene, the yellow hue they added made it really cool.

Mike was right on time

"So Walter what have you been up too"...... Lol

The way he just turns and looks at Walter.

"So Walter what's it gonna be?"

I freaking love this show

And Hank goes: "WTF" when Walt comes back out and puts the GPS the wheelwell. Hank has proven he's pretty dam sharp, I'm wondering about how much Hank knows about Walt after all his slips.

I also wonder what "The Man" (gramps) meant in the flashback scene, after he turns the tables on the conversation and wastes Gus' chicken brother Max, they put him head-down next to the squirting corpse and he says: "The only reason you are alive is I know who you are."

I guess that's going to be another bombshell.

Pretty incredible to see Gus as basically Jessie years ago.

I think Gus is going to be much more "big time" than Jesse ever was...

In the flashback Hector does tauntingly throw them a kiss and makes the classic "we have dark meat and white meat" comment.

When Mike tells Gus: “Schrader and the Mexicans at the same time—if he’s watching when they make a move, it could be the perfect storm.” Wonder if there's going to be a situation where Walt is going to have to choose whether or not to save Hank’s life?

Then again the upcoming preview kind of indicates that it's Walt's life on the line again. It's getting very interesting.
