ehh... I like 10,000 BC more than TDAT.

Give me CG mammoths crushing fools over CG super freeze resistant wolves any day.

TDAT has a few redeeming scenes in my mind, and they were completely unintentional of course. Like for instance burning the books in the library to stay warm, when there's clearly hundreds of tons of wood and furniture within the library that they can use to stay warm. Outrunning the wind and the wolves that come right the frick out of nowhere is fricking hilarious.

But 10,000 BC doesn't have any unintentionally funny scenes. It's just plain shite and baffling. Like when he lets a sabertooth tiger loose in a pit he has fallen in, that may be the single stupidest act I've ever seen in a motion picture. And Roland rips off every great film he can think of in that movie, and brings nothing new to the table. TDAT is pure shite as well, but at least he's mostly just doing anything dumb that comes to his head in destroying the world rather than mindlessly ripping off every epic movie ever and having absolutely no passion or substance.

I like Quaid too which is why I think I liked the movie. It's the sort of movie I'll leave on TV if I just want to have a movie on while I do something else in the living room like tie flies or finish some paperwork.

Yeah this is more how I feel about it.......I may have overstated how much I like it in the OP. It's just a movie where I know I should hate it but I just don't

It getting torn to shreds is what I expected in this thread and the board is delieving

I haven't seen a ton of movies (such as 2012) but this is the worst movie I've ever seen. I was in high school but I can't remember what possessed me to go see it, I don't think it was a girl bc what girl would want to see that?

One thought that did come to my mind the last time I watched TDAT was how all that ice and snow would've probably cause every building to collapse, like even our normal winters cause that in some climates. Then I look up and the Statue of Liberty looked like an ice sculpture and I'm like yea, that thing would probably have collapsed

It's #2 for me on my worst. Just irredeemable. I have never seen a movie with such stupid characters, such a rip-off, and makes no sense. Seriously, how the frick did the character start off in Siberia, then end up in South America, next the African savannah, and finally Egypt all within a week?

Ridiculous that she was 17 when that movie was filmed. So incredibly gorgeous.

I think I came off as an a-hole the first time I saw this movie. I was watching it with a group of people I hardly knew and I was trashing it with every scene. It's completely ridiculous.

I think we all have movies in that category. Plenty of Stallone movies come to mind. Sometiems I just don't want to pay close attention yet still be entertained when my favorite scenes come up.

When this movie was released on DVD I used to buy DVD's like crazy. I remember we tried to rent it at Blockbuster but they were all out so I just bought it. What a huge mistake..it is a crapfest of a movie.

well... except you can if you get inside

Also towards the beginning when the water is crashing through NYC and busting through buildings at 20+ stories high, but they just close the door of the library and go up to the 2nd floor and they are all good.

Same category for me as the OP movie - The villain was so predictable.

Stargate, The Patriot, Universal Soldier and Eight Legged Freaks I would consider mediocre.
