And yeah. With her whoring around I kind of figured she was a beard. But flint caught me off guard.

Not that I'm aware of. It got renewed for a 3rd season but I had not heard about that.

I thought I heard when they renewewed they did it for two more seasons and season 3 would conclude the story
Posted on 2/22/15 at 1:01 am to Puck82
Nah. Before season 1 even premiered they had renewed it for a second season. Then back in October they renewed it for a third.

Put me on Team Vane now. I'm kind of pissed at where they took Flint's character. I may be done with the show. Such a bullshite story arc.
Typical Starz and their shoehorned homosexual arcs, i'm out. Nonsensical and forced.

Agree. Happens in every series they do. Happened in Spartacus and now this.

I'm no homophobe, but WTF? The story didn't NEED to be taken that direction, and it brings absolutely nothing to the show. Ugh. Just a hot button topic force fed into a otherwise good story.

I happen to think it provides VERY interesting context for things and makes the current relationship FAR more interesting and deeper.

I didn't either. I figured him and her were doing their thing in some kind of open relationship and that Thomas was probably gay. But not with Flint.
this is spot on what I assumed was going on. Not a big fan of this direction, but I guess it explains why he's so driven. They should change their flag though:

Agreed. And it's not like we don't have some already have pretty well established bisexual characters on the show between Max and Eleanor. I feel like explains a lot with Flint in terms of his aggression and recklessness.
I can understand some thinking it's a STARZ "with a twist!" moment. But to each his/her own.

Nooooo Flint going faggy waggy on me! Damn! He was my favorite pirate! Captain Morgan Spice in the flesh! Listen all these shows today feel they need to showcase gayness on their shows for viewers of all specifics is how I'll put it. But it just feels like overkill. Some of these shows are good enough not to add all that shite to it.

Agreed! Season 2 was really moving along so well, so much butter than season 1. Then starz just has to rub it in our face some more.

It actually all makes sense when you look at how Flint talked about Hamilton in season one. Dudes still a badass, kind of like Agron in Spartacus.

I agree with those of you disappointed in this unnecessary plot twist.
About the only thing that could make it worse now is flint waking up from a Dallas type dream. Lol

This gay direction was not needed and it ruined it for me. My wife and I were jelling when we saw it. It made me sick. I don't care what people do in their privacy at home, but not on a pirate show. They didn't have gays in pirate ships, just Hollywood and L.A., and now The Walking Dead too. Geez.

Sure dude. I think it adds a layer to his compulsion to follow the dream the 3 had.

I started this series tonight
Quick question. why do all the Starz original series look like theyre filmed on a hi def phone camera
Spartacus and Camelot looked the same way

When Flint appeared to be doing everything purely for his own ego/the gold, that was ok, but when it's revealed that he's doing it to accomplish the vision of someone he loved...that bothers you? Don't get me wrong, I prefer my antihero pirates bangin the bonny lasses too, but I actually thought it was a pretty reasonable reveal as far as an arc.
