Just watched the first episode. Didn't know much about it beforehand. To me the first episode had a great and interesting premise but it kind of ended up dragging and fizzled a little in the end. I kept expecting more of a twist I guess.
I'm debating whether to continue the series. Thoughts from those who have watched more episodes? Was the first one among the best or did they get better to you?

You should definitely continue.
A while back there was a thread where everyone ranked the episodes in order. To summarize, the lists were largely disparate. There wasn't really a consensus on which are best. Though the first episode was generally ranked lower. There was one other one that was usually ranked near the bottom. But the rest of them were usually spread out, which to me means that the show has pretty wide appeal.
While they all pretty much have some basis in the dark side of technology and the rabbit hole it can take humans down, they all approach it from different situations.

The show is great albeit depressing as hell. Thus the time I take between episodes.

People shouldn't watch episode 1 when starting off, as odd as that sounds.

Had to be Waldo. That one is terrible. I thought National Anthem was okay. Not my favorite but didn't turn me off the series. Entire History of You was by far my favorite.

I love the series. Episode 1 is not great.
Season 2 Episode 2 "White Bear" is my favorite. fricked me up real good.

When I introduced my wife to the show, I debated starting with episode 2. But she kept saying she wanted to see the first episode and so I went with it.
She's never seen more than one episode.

Yup, I don't think anyone ranked it very highly.
I think Hated In The Nation was my favorite, but a few others are close. Entire History Of You was great as well, San Junipero was really good too even if it was a bit of a departure in style.

White christmas is probably the best, but you probably want to watch a few other ones first to make sure that you have a grasp on the tech that the series plays with.
