I was a fan of the Grantland GOT pod and will check this out. I assume Mallory Rubin and Jason Conception would be involved since they are now both employed at The Ringer.

My Simmons and co always have the safest take on all social justice issues. (Been listening a lot lately since I have been traveling alone a lot lately).
It really bothers more than it should but why even talk about stuff if you are afraid to have anything than the safe sjw point of view? It is so annoying listen to people discuss the most agreeable positions as if they are enlightened for believing them.

It's not surprising. Despite the fact that Simmons portrays himself as some anti establishment writer, he really doesn't have any balls. Hes like Fallon in that he will gargle your balls in an interview no matter what, except he will trash that player/person for years before hand
He's been grilling Roger Goodell for years now but I guarentee you if Goodell went on his podcast tommorow, Simmons would be fluffin his Johnson in the interview and lead him in some excuses for some of the stupid shite he's done. He just can't look someone in the face and tell them they're wrong
In that same vein he would rather not offend anyone like everyone else in the world for the same reason.

For a show as complicated as Game of Thrones with so many different characters w/ different back stories, this is an exception.
This show will help people keep track of what is going on and not miss small details

The fundamental flaw with discussion shows hosted on the same channel as the shows is that they can't be critical. They are basically just infomercials for the shows rather than discussions shows.
Talking Dead is just terrible about that. Everything is awesome and nary a negative word is said.
That's why I stick with independent podcasts about my favorite shows, usually Bald Move podcasts.

If you listen to the Nerdiest at all (and you should he gets great people on there) you'll find out that Chris Hardwick is allergic to saying anything isn't great. I think it is kind of hollywood's way of saying "omg so cute" like girls say to each other.
