Bill Simmons writers to host Game of Thrones aftershow

The aftershow will be available on digital services HBO Now and HBO Go, as was all as through HBO On Demand. No linear telecasts for “After the Thrones” have yet been scheduled, but may be announced at a later date.
ETA: Not Simmons, but Simmons writers for The Ringer (his new HBO affiliated site).

I think the after show ideas are masturbatory and stupid. But whatever if people seem to like them. I just won't watch.

well they're genius in the fact that they probably draw big numbers and are cheap to make. In execution, they serve no purpose and add nothing....but stay tuned for the extended teaser for next week's episode!

Honestly that sounds pretty lame
Ryan and Greenwald are decently knowledgable but are soooo fricking obnoxious and pretentious.
Their podcast would put me to sleep if they didn't make sure to yell at a frighteningly high pitch into the microphone every 4 minutes or so

It wasn't too bad when it was at Grantland. OnDemand or Internet-based makes sense with the scheduling of shows like Silicon Valley right after anyway.

Can they squeeze one more Kit Harrington interview where he tries to convince everyone that he's been telling the truth all year? Like at the beginning of the episode he does his speel in front of regular people and they laugh, then he tries the same routine against small children and smart puppy's and they still don't believe him?
