No, it hit important points but it was a very slow burn.

To be honest, when I first saw it, I took it as if he was having a seizure. They seemed to me to be some sort of reflex and it makes sense that he's been hitting walls for so long that his body could've been reacting that way which makes his death even darker.

He couldn't prevent his own body from kicking down the lantern and he had to watch himself burn.. yikes

Just watched it last night.

My question is, did Mike leave a bug in that house that could have been drawing power?

Well don't be such an a-hole about it. If you would just let people talk about it then it would be done quickly. When you make a big deal out of it, people just talk about it more because of it.

I know this was discussed earlier in the thread if you want to flip back.

And Wrenchruh, thanks for the Kim gif...made my day!

Finally watched the episode last night. Liked it a lot, even though it felt slightly disappointing as a season finale.

Does he though? I figured he would still have to pay it out to Chuck's estate, and that it would eventually go to Jimmy (assuming he has to be next of kin).

I kept thinking the whole time that Chuck was going to die, and I honestly thought it was gonna be when he was in bed (although clearly they wanted the viewer to think that).

I know the Chuck storyline gets hated on a lot, and I've even been tired of it before, but it is really intriguing though, and helps show us part of what makes Jimmy who he is (and Saul to a degree as well).

And Michael McKean deserves an Emmy. He is fricking great on this show.

IMO Chuck actually does despise Jimmy. But at the same time, he loves him and cares about him (enough). I think it's similar from Jimmy's side as well, although clearly he loves and respects Chuck a lot more than he gets in return...but I definitely think there is a lot of resentment from Jimmy too. Chuck telling him that he meant nothing to him was clearly a lie IMO. And part of me wonders if he did that because he knew he was going to kill himself and Jimmy would get the money (assuming it goes to next of kin).

The whole Nacho/Gus/Hector angle was a letdown for me this episode. I guess we finally see that it is a (assumed) stroke that makes Hector into what we see in BB. Gus eyeballing those pills like he knows Nacho was up to something, especially after Nacho carefully picked all of them up and (presumedly) switched the real pills in to give to the paramedics/police.

I don't know, I was just expecting a little more from this storyline. And no Mike whatsoever has me a little pissed.

All in all though, solid episode. I may end up liking this show more than BB once all is said and done.

It's a neat idea, but I think it has too many holes for it to be true. If Mike planted a bug it would have to be wired to the power to spin that dial. At the time he would have planted it Chuck didn't have power. So Mike would have had to use a battery operated one instead. If they had him under surveillance Jimmy shouldn't have been surprised in the last episode when he saw Chuck using electricity. He would have already known by looking at the surveillance.

I hate to break it to ya buddy but Vince Gilligan completely blew up the idea of J+K=S on Talking Saul.

He said that Kim isn't around during Breaking Bad and that losing Kim will absolutely crush Jimmy, and they are working on writing how that will play out and contribute to Jimmy's total conversion into Saul Goodman.

COUGH

You just can't help yourself can you? Every time you comment on it, you are just stirring the pot and giving people an excuse to talk about it more.

Gilligan mentioned some things about it, but he used some ifs and had a sly look in his eye. I'm not conVinced he was writing anything in stone.

I hate to chime in on this, but this:

..is total bullshite. Clearly you haven't seen Ham bring this up incessantly. It was overbearing in several of the episode threads this season...like overbearing to the point of where catching up on the thread was a pain in the arse.

Having the theory is fine and dandy, but let's not pretend that it was simply talked about briefly a couple times and then moved on from.

I believe that you may just have stumbled into the transformation from Jimmie to Saul.

I have said all along that I could be wrong, but I don't put too much stock into it yet. He says Kim is not around. That doesn't mean a whole lot. Maybe they break up. That doesn't mean they can't have a professional relationship. Maybe he means she is no longer in Albuquerque. She could run ISZA associates from anywhere and be in contact.

Vince isn't going to go on Talking Saul and spoil the future of the show. Time will tell, but I still think she has her hands in some Saul Goodman dirt.

Yeah I read them. Ham would make his points then people would bitch, so he would keep making them because he probably though it was funny people got so rustled. Like I said, the more you hate on it the more people are going to talk about it. If for no other reason than to piss you guys off. Just ignore it if you don't want to talk about it. Boo hoo you had to scroll past a post and it took a little longer to read through the thread. Get over it.

It actually means a whole lot when the creator of the show literally disproves your theory on a talk show that airs after the actual show.

This is not accurate. The episode I thought of it I did bring it up a lot. The following week I didn't bring it up once, but the entire thread was derailed by it. I was just responding to others bringing it up.

Having said that I won't bring it up again, but I will respond if someone else brings it up.

Don't let them censor you Ham. This is a message board. Talk about what you want. Frick the losers who get bent out of shape over it.

It will be proven true or false when we see it on the show.

Exactly, if I am right there is absolutely 0% chance he would come out and spoil it on Talking Saul.
