I'll go with goodfellas as well, but the scene that follows Ray liotta and his lady into the club while "then he kissed me" was played.

Goodfellas is probably the GOAT movie for this category, excluding actual musicals.
Layla, the scene you mentioned, plus the "Opus" - the medley scene on the day he gets busted, where he's paranoid (but not really), coked up, etc. Marty has always had a strong relationship with the Rolling Stones and other musical groups
I mean, he directed The Last Waltz, Shine a Light, so he's intimately a musically oriented filmmaker who doesn't make musicals.
Although it only won a single Oscar, I believe Goodfellas is the film he'll ultimately be remembered for - his masterpiece, if you will.

Goodfellas is the easy answer. Pick a sequence.

Good call on almost famous and watchmen.
I also vote for any scene in which carmina burana is played.

Ok, not a movie, but Badfinger's "Baby Blue" at the end of Breaking Bad is one of the most perfect ever.

Was just coming to post this. It just fit in with it seemlessly.

The final scene of The Social Network..
LINK
Zuckerberg just won a settlement versus Eduardo Saverin and others.. He logs onto Facebook to creep on his ex girlfriend who he sends a Facebook request to.. The camera pushes in on him while The Beatles "Baby you're a rich man" starts to play and he's pressing F5 repeatedly while waiting for her to accept his request. Genius.
Song choice was perfect because it highlighted the irony of being incredibly rich and incredibly lonely at the same time..
