True detective, Ballers, Silicone Valley, Veep or any other I haven't seen? Silicone Valley is my favorite so far but I liked season 2 of true detective more than a lot of people and its a close second.

So much this.

It had to be contract negotiations. That show had a shite load of talent and it was fantastic.

First show that I've ever been pissed off about being canceled. I really enjoyed it.

Veep is consistently great but its a half hour comedy so it doesn't really fit the "prestige" model.

Vinyl looks like it's going to be amazing.

And if you don't currently watch "Last Week Tonight," it's great.

Probably pretty unknown, but I watched the first season of Sr. Avila on HBO spanish ondemand. It's pretty legit. I think the second season is out. I need to get around to watching it.

Ballers is fun, but Silicon Valley is hilarious (though it does suffer from HIMYM syndrome, I can't stand the main guy the series is focused on).

Silicone Valley is the only up and comer IMO. HBO needs some more quality projects.

Leftovers is solid but isn't going to explode at any point, I think. You have to be patient and into the weirdness.

Veep is great and quirky, but it's been around and again, appeals to a fairly targeted crowd.

Ballers is meh

Would have been Brink. Now I have to go with Silicon Valley. But, after 2 seasons and lots of accolades, is it really "up and coming" any longer? Isn't it here?

Leftovers, maybe, although this season isn't bringing them in (I worry for Season 3 - I may have to read the book after all).

They're pushing Vinyl and I'll definitely give it a couple of weeks.

Veep is not an "up and comer" anymore. True Detective is dead and might not even return. I'd say their two prize projects in their infancy stage are definitely Silicon Valley and The Leftovers.
