As pointed out earlier, you seem really angry and bitter. You've resorted to making up "facts" and building straw men to attack. Like I said earlier, it's commonly accepted now, even by atheist historians, that the historical person of Jesus existed. You can debate on what He was ( simple preacher, revolutionary, prophet, Son of God, etc) but I think the "Jesus never existed" ship has sailed.
where do you even come up with this shite? Was there a Jewish guy born in that area around that time named Jesus? Probably. Did he do any of the things stated in the Bible? No. Take away the biblical version and you have an average guy. May as well call him Bob Everyman.
I know hearing evidence that is against your beliefs causes you to undergo a great deal of cognitive dissonance but at some point you have to build a bridge man.

Can we just get off this shite and ignore "imjustafatkid" from this point on? He's a blissfully stupid attention whore who has singlehandedly ruined this thread. This is getting ridiculous. Go start another thread in the Poliboard if you want to continue this conversation, but it needs to end. This is about Beauty and the Beast, not Christianity.

Hey guys, is this the thread where we come to post pics of the Prophet Muhammad?

You are lying to yourself if you think I am the one keeping this thread going. It had fallen to the second page just last night. I did not revive it.

I can't believe you're still arguing here. I've never seen someone trolled so hard

This is an interesting take. Usually I think the sole poster who gets multiple different posters to respond to him is the one doing the "trolling," but you do you. I'm not attempting to troll anyone here, but your definition seems flawed.

Feel free to show where I'm factually wrong.

Positive claims require proof.

Except for the fact that a religion very quickly grew around the claims of his followers. It grew, I'll point out, among the very people that knew this "Bob Everyman". That kind of sale job doesn't make much sense unless there is some validity to their claims. Could I sell you on the claim that your neighbor was the Son of God, raised the dead, died and was resurrected? I'd imagine not.

Give me some of that "evidence" and we'll see.

You're so stupid it's unbelievable to me. No wonder your kids have all those problems

Groups like that pop up every now and then. They're called cults.

Of people that willingly were tortured and executed for something they knew was a lie? Name some.

So did anyone else feel like the 3rd act was rushed because they spent way too much time with the 1st and 2nd acts?

That typically happens when a movie shoehorns in twenty minutes of gay characters not played by Hugh Jackman. This movie is a travesty.

Saw it tonight. Not reading this whole thread.
1) Belle wasn't terrible, but as soon as she sang she seemed to be in a different production of the movie. Everyone else is belting out their songs, she's singing like a little girl looking in the mirror.
2) The beast was actually an improvement from the cartoon. They gave him a lot more to do and better lines. Stevens did a great job and the animators did a fantastic job of bringing his expressions through.
3) Gaston was spot-on. Best thing in the movie.
4) LeFou was gay. Not sure why. It wasn't an improvement from the original characterization. They added a ton of new characters, any of which could've been gay. It was a big letdown for me. LeFou was a favorite character in the original.
5) Kevin Kline could read the phone book and entertain me. He's awesome.
6) The enchanted staff weren't that impressive. I particularly missed Jerry Orbach and Angela Lansbury. Zero great performances there. And when they turn human at the end, they're mostly creepy as frick.
7) The CGI was good, but the direction of the animation was sub-par. There was really no magic in the "Be Our Guest" number. Too many cuts and tight shots. The original is way better when it comes to the scenery.
Good but not great movie. Stevens and Luke Evans were the standouts. Gad could've been a great LeFou (If he was stupid and goofy instead of gay.)

Agree with the "Be our guest" opinion. You could anticipate that it was coming but then didn't have quite the effect I thought it would.
My favorite musical scene was "kill the beast". I thought the entire ensemble nailed it. But then again, I'm a sucker for the villain songs in Disney movies (Be Prepared, Kill the Beast, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Jafar's "Prince Ali", etc)

Disney seems to have tapped into the Downton Abbey cast quite a bit lately. Although Stevens didn't really get a lot of screen time.

Wow, the level of retardation in that. People cant even agree on who should be the president, yet some guy who may not have existed, but if he did exist, didn't do anything special.
. . . . Yet 12 guys used made up stories about him (not themselves, mind you) and changed the entire direction of the world for 2 millennia. Youre a fricking moron!!
But, after hearing your well thought out belief, I just cant wait for the year 4000, when we will have millions of people worshipping Gaston, or Lefou

It's scary to me that adults still believe this shite. I mean, it's great that you have something to follow and strive to be like or whatever the end game is but, like I posted earlier in this thread, I wonder how you would feel about this guy hanging from the ceiling of your church instead of the dirty blonde haired blue eyed guy that's there now. You think those folks over there are radical in 2017? Imagine what the were like 2000 years ago.

You already posted that. It didn't bother anyone the first time, so you figured you'd try again?
