I saw this in the theater.
It was the worst movie I have ever seen in a theater. I mean just...damn. Awful.
The cavemen learning to fly fricking fighter jets on simulators that still somehow work thousands of years later.

it was definitely the worst piece of cinema until gili, which may be better, I made it all the way through battlefield earth, I couldn't make it past the crash in 'after earth'

We saw ID4 as kids, so there is a nostalgia thing going on there. Also there are some great special effects and awesome cheesy action movies lines.

Independence Day? It wasn't that bad.
Also, it came out in 1996. Most millenials were still of middle school age or younger. So, don't get mad at us.
