Unless Im mistaken, I thought BSG was unique because it did map out the story. Not only that but they were upfront that the entire series would only last X amount of seasons if all went as planned.

You confused BSG with Breaking Bad.

What you mentioned was a talking point, but when you listen to the podcasts you know it was a lie.

They had a general idea, but not all the details. They did not have enough substance for all the episodes, which caused them to make crap up and that ended up killing plots.

I loved the original as a kid....never watched the reboot maybe someday I will.

In the end, cable will be reinvented through bundling of streaming services. It will be the exact same shite we had before. It's the only natural progression from what we're seeing now with the emergence of so many new streaming services.

Did people actually think these huge Corporations were gonna do nothing?

There were a handful of episodes where there was literally zero that advanced the overall story arc. I don't take that to be a vote of confidence by the writers as to where the whole thing was going.

I don’t like the alien/robot disguised as a human trope in pretty much anything. That was a centerpiece of the reboot and I just did not like it. If they do launch another BSG, just give us more straight-up Cylons, please.

Yes, please no more Tricia Helfer, Grace Park or Lucy Lawless, my gods.

He’s got a Roman name, so you know what that means.

My biggest issue with the Ron Moore version was the desire to tie everything to the 'cycle.' It was a fairly unfulfilling backstory/explanation to everything. Especially when the destruction of the Colonies boiled down to Dean Stockwell's character being a petulant man-cylon-baby with hurt feelings.

It'll be hard to replicate some of the amazing performances -- Richard Hatch as Zarek made me wonder why no one would give this guy any acting work for decades.

At this pace, if I live to be 80, I'll have the opportunity see 3 to 5 more BSG reboots.

(ETA: And I still haven't watched the first "reboot", just for the record.)
