While I disliked the film I'm actually kind of glad this film is almost halfway to a billion dollars after one weekend due to the fact that I think Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are perfectly cast.

They really are. It was odd watching great superman, batman, and Wonder Woman in such a bad movie.

I read it needs to make 800 million to break even

Where did 800 million come from?

I think after the budget+ marketing. It was on Reddit I can't find it.

I want to gag that I was part of this.

What sucks is that they will make JL 1, but because of this one being sub par, they probably won't spend a lot of money on it. I bet their budget has gone WAY down after this movie.

Yeh I'm not buying 800 million. Per Forbes even after marketing is was around 400, and that doesn't include all the revenue from merchandise and licensing rights (dr pepper, jeep, etc).

I just hope affleck is allowed to freely direct the solo batman movie.

Wouldn't be the first wrong thing I read on the internet

I just donated $10 of my cash to watch 3 superheroes whiff on one liners while fighting a cave troll from lord of the rings.
FML I wish I could go back to 3 hours ago and kick my arse for willingly handing over my money to that.

It was always going to be a huge opening weekend no matter what the reviews were. Now if people hated enough, they won't get the rewatches that they would have with a good film which means a huge fall off next weekend.

As bad as I thought the movie was, the action scenes in IMAX were worth the price of admission for me.
Don't get me wrong. I am more disappointed than anyone that they failed so miserably at putting the story together, but I would be lying if I said I didn't get giddy as frick when Superman and Doomsday fired heat vision at each other. It makes me look forward to this:

I'll be doing my part to push that up. Going to see it 2 or 3 more times.
