I think the good thing with him though is he doesn't lay it on too thick or he adds a little humor to it as well to make it not as serious

It's not preachy.

It acknowledges a problem and shows that all involved have the ability to change it.

Unbelievable show. Loved the last episode. We're all assuming that was some sort of ring he lost in his jacket or some gift for Val, right?

So his baby momma kicked him out and makes him sleep in a storage unit?

I'm gonna have to rewatch that episode, but my interpretation of the last scene with Ern living out of the storage unit and counting his cash alluded to him not being able commit to being a full time father/family man, not him being kicked out. Like, he's still figuring shite out, and it kinda reminded me of how my pup likes to take her toys/bones to a certain side of the yard and acts very secretive about what she's up to because she doens't know if she's supposed to be doing that.

She didn't really kick him out. I mean she kinda did at the start of the season but by this week, she clearly was hoping that earn would spend more time and they were alluding to settling down and domestication and shite. However, earn rejected her offer of spending the night and going to his storage unit indicates that he isn't really about that life

I interpreted it otherwise. I think he realized that he does what the family life, but he's currently sort of ashamed of his current lifestyle and that's why he rejected the offer. When he was just a shmuko mooching off her he had no problem crashing, but how that he's interested in it being a real thing he doesn't feel comfortable accepting her invitation until he has his shite together.

Just my two cents.

I liked the show a lot. My favorite episode though was the BET parody.

"Yo, no one told this N*** he has bangs??"

I was dying on that episode. the others were really good and I liked every episode, but that one I can crack up thinking about. Paperboi reminds me of an old friend of mine, and Ern reminds me of another dude I know now. Similar personalities for sure.

Can't wait for season two.

Yeah, the BET parody was the highlight of the season imo

Incredible show. Binge watched it tonight.

The invisible car, the dissapearing club manager, the 35 year old white guy, Justin Bieber, the drink names at June Nineteenth... the show is simply incredible.

I just finished season 1 and it was amazing. This may sound weird, but does this show kind of remind anybody else of Louie? I think of Louie when I watch for some reason.

I think it's how both Louis and Atlanta mix the real with the absurd. Things can be going along a real-life hard-hitting story line, and then the date flies away on a helicopter or the rapper drives away in an invisible car. Sprinkle that with some basic humor and you have a great show.
