Stupid question, but is he Raah's AL Ghul or Raisch Al Ghul or what?

I want more ollie taking down the guys on "the list" even for a couple of episodes.
I liked Ra's but Slade/Malcom were a lot more threatning to me and were constantly on his arse. You went "Oh shite" every time they were on screen.
Even thought this season was meh it's still better than most shows.

the way I've seen it explained is that both pronunciations are correct and the difference is caused by where you learned Arabic.

Slade Wilson is a bad motherfricker. Ra's is as well, but he was killed way too easily in the end.

I am a little bothered by the Lazarus pits as a plot device. At least with Thea she had just died. Sara's body was laying around forever but it appears the pits will be used on her. Since those exist no one can really die on this show. For a show that started off being somewhat grounded in reality it took a supernatural turn really quickly.

Well the DC TVverse is going in a more metahuman direction. If something like the Pit becomes the weekly plot du jour where folks are keeling off left and right and being brought back then they have a problem.
As is, if they only use it once or twice going forward it should be OK. I think with Sara the creative team liked the character and actress enough they used it to bring her back. She should be a major character in the next spin off and they probably wanted someone other then Routh that the fans knew on the show. So Pitting her was pretty much the only way out of the corner they had written themselves into.

Arksulli, good points. I just want them to use the pits sparingly. Heck, I probably would have preferred them use the pits on Oliver instead of curing a massive chest wound and three story fall with penicillin tea.

Finished.
Not the best season, but not bad. Malcolm as Ra's is awesome. Ollie off with Felicity, meh, but hopefully it changes the tone of the show.
Still fun, can be better.

The sounds from the letters "e", "i", and "y" are all the same letter in arabic, farsi, dari, pashto, etc.

But if I'm not mistaken, Malcolm called him Raas Al Ghul, then when he became Ra's, he told Nyssa to bow to Raish Al ghul. Or am I just flat out wrong?

Malcolm is the first dyslexic Ra's.

Loved Barry's line when he first sees the Lazarus pits. "You guys have a hot tub?!"
Agree this season wasn't up to par. We binge watched seasons 1&2. Ras wasn't what I hoped but he was still a good threat. Just didn't use him well throughout the season.
Looking forward to where they take this show.

My biggest issue with this show is still Laurel. Last season her fighting skills were unbelievable. People don't learn to be elite fighters at 28 years old after a month of training with a ufc trainer. Without a significant time leap, they have her taking out multiple members of the League of Assassin's, who are trying to kill her with swords, without her incurring any sort of injury. It is flat out laughable. Everyone else has over a decade of training. Hell, Diggle has been training with Oliver for much longer, not to mention his military training, and still uses guns! Tatsu uses a katana! Laurel with her 96 days of training at the Y? frick it, I'm using an everyday police baton! This girl would have been dead the first night on the job. Garbage.

There has always been a back and forth as to how his name is pronounced. If I remember right, the Batman animated shows always pronounced it as Ras, and Batman Begins pronounced it Raish. The showrunners have stated that they decide to go with both as kind of homage to that and have the people in the League pronounce it Raish, and the people outside the League pronounce it Ras.

Maybe the pronunciation is different based on if you're referring to someone else or referring to yourself?

How do these rules apply to Scruffy?

Laurel took boxing lessons in the Arrowverse for almost a decade..her dad made her do it for self protection. So her training going faster than a normal woman, off the street with no training, is not implausible.
I think they got lost on how to deal with her after the fans insistence on Olicity. Oliver probably would have been training her since season 2, if they were an item.
Hopefully Felicity loses her woman boner for Ollie. Same goes for the fangirls and Olicity.
