Arsenal

Is Sara back?

ETA/ I think I saw the bomb girl from the Flash in one of the scenes.

Who's Cupid?? I dot remember reading about her in the comics.

She is a fairly new Green Arrow villain created by Andrew Kreisberg (who happens to also be one of the Arrow showrunners) within the last 5 or so years.

ETA: To be on the up and up, I actually had to google her because I didn't know who she was either.

So I looked her up and basically she kills people because she wants to bang Ollie.

So did Cupid kill Sara? Out of jealosy perhaps? Would explain the weaker arrow velocity and the lower angle. Being a woman and all...

nah, sara knew her killer. i also had no clue who cupid was. shes pretty new.

that boxing glove arrow was awesome! one of the best moments of the season.

it was pretty funny how this episode went after we were just talking about how much Roy sucks. but i did like the backstory they did for Wildcat. other than that, it wasnt that exciting of an episode. still waiting for this season to really ramp up.

Yeah the Wildcat story was good. Laurel is still being a bitch. We got another sweet Roy flip in the fight scene

I'm not a comic reader so was hoping to come in here to some nerdgasms about the ending but apparently none of y'all know who Cupid is either.

That whole thing with Roy and the dream was pretty dumb unless they're just looking for an excuse for him to leave

I thought that was cool, but can someone explain it to me?

@bamatab - I really don't hate Roy like a lot of y'all, he's just kinda, boring, I guess. Just doesn't bring too much to the group and easily replaceable

its just really classic, nostalgic green arrow.. but the comics are very self aware how corny of a thing it is so its become a fun joke.

eta: the roy flip! i was busting out laughing.

I don't hate the character. He just seems forced, and apparently the actor playing him seems to only be able to portray jaded and/or pissed.

But if they stay anywhere close to comics, he's got to get pissed at Oliver about something and leave off on his own (preferably missing an arm).

My favorite moment of tonight's episode had to be when Ollie's Hong Kong landlord was asking him if he had been "made" by their target after getting punched out. No man, the giant white American blended right in to that environment.

So the synopsis for the crossover event came out today. doesnt sound as big of a deal as we originally thought but does seem cool.

quote:

Part 1: Flash vs Arrow
“Barry is thrilled when Oliver, Felicity and Diggle come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he’d like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Patrick Sabongui), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to rob banks. Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn’t go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stop Bivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow. Meanwhile, Iris is furious when Eddie tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.”

quote:

Part 2: Brave and the Bold
“Oliver, Arsenal and Diggle track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness (guest star Nick Tarabay) but are surprised when they come face to face with an A.R.G.U.S. team. Diggle asks Lyla why A.R.G.U.S. is involved but she defers until Harkness attacks the building, killing several agents and targeting Lyla. The Arrow joins the fight and gets help from an old friend – The Flash. Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city.”

Interesting to see if they leave Boomerang in his Suicide Squad role or will he be part of the rogues?

It sounds like he starts out as either being a part of the squad, or was at one time since Lyla apparently starts out covering for him until he turns on her. I bet after the crossover he'll become part of Flash's storylines and eventually become part of the Rogues once they are formed.

ETA: But they could let him float between the Squad and the Rogues. When he is incarcerated Waller uses him for the Squad, and when he is free he joins up with the Rogues.

That's less of a synopsis and more of a breakdown of the whole episode. Don't need to watch now
