Hey, hey wait a minute! I thought they stopped Judgment Day at the end of T2?

though T3 was pretty good and had a great (and hot) villain

I watched it recently and its a decent action movie but it seemed like too much of a rehash of two. I hope Linda Hamilton can pull off the comeback.

Salvation was garbage and Genesis was throwing everything at the wall for nostalgia and hoping it worked.

With time travel involved, anything is possible. But damn it gets messy when they keep going back to the well.

I actually thought salvation was pretty watchable. The most since T2

Salvation had potential, showing how John Connor struggled with not being believed or supported by the resistance leadership and then, later, when he effectively lost his cheat code to the future.

It just felt like something was lost in the execution but I don't know what. Even Sam Worthington was pretty solid in it.

I don't know why they didn't continue this story-line. If they are going to reboot then they should start from scratch.

But apparently Terminator 6 is the first in a new trilogy

Ok, but

Terminator Salvation, and Terminator Genisys

Both were supposed to be the first movie in a trilogy series. And we see how that worked out. Which may be one reason why they kinda suck as stand alone films.

But apparently Terminator 6 is the first in a new trilogy of films that completely ignores the events of Terminator 3, Terminator Salvation, and Terminator Genisys.

So it closes the trilogy of attempted trilogies?
