If Gibson hadn't made a monumental personal frick up right around the time of it's release it would be up there in discussion as one of the best movies of our era

I like stupid comedy movies. I like a lot of other serious, drama movies as well.

I like to laugh.

thought I'd hate it with the subtitles, but was pleasently surprised. Great movie!

false, not even close

it was a great movie but G.O.A.T? no way

even if you want to look at technical filmmaking, Requiem is better done than Apocalypto.

all that being said, i did really enjoy that movie

Obviously not the best ever, but it was a great movie. One of the few movies that can keep my attention from start to finish. A lot of action. Great cinematography. The actors were cast perfectly.

Dude..yes finally. Amazing movie. In my top 20 or 10 all time films. Its hilarious some people won't see this movie because of Mel Gibson..missing out an awesome film. And I own a little over 200 movies and seen hundreds more from every genration..still ranks that high with me.

Exactly how I felt about Pan's Labrynth(sp). The movie is so good the subtitles become part of the experience.

It is an extremely well made movie and should have garnered serious Oscar consideration. However, Hollywood does not award Oscars based upon merit but rather upon who best exemplifies their limited sensibilities. Had Gibson made Braveheart after his tirade the movie would have been an academy afterthought.
