With Louisiana being being Hollywood south for a few years now and countless movies and tv shows being filmed here I would think some of you or peeps you know have been in some. If so what movies and what was it like?

I was a student at the LSU football game when they filmed the game scenes for Everybody's All American. I was the drunk one.

Closest I came was October Sky, couple of friends were in the Knoxville scenes. Guy I graduated with had a speaking line outside the Tennessee Theater.

I played a dead guy in a movie that never got released when I was in school at Texas. I wasn't killed on screen I was just laying dead on the ground with a blood pooling under me and a bullet wound to my chest. It was for a bank robbery scene gone wrong in an action movie. We weren't really given any more info than that, I'm not sure who the "hero" was going to be as they weren't on set, the scene was just to set up the bad guys.
They told us they'd email us with movie title and release date so we could see ourselves in the movie. Never heard back from them then a year later I got an email telling me the movie had been canceled but they wanted to keep my scene in case they ever wanted to use it for something else. They said they'd contact me again if they ever used it and they've never gotten back to me so I assume they didn't use it.

Not myself, but a good friend of mine has about a 3 second part in "In the Electric Mist" with Tommy Lee Jones. He gets kicked out of the bathroom at the bus station by TLJ. Look it up on Netflix. He's also done local commercials and a national spot for Edible Arrangements.

Never did anything for Hollywood. Had a chance to be an extra once for the new Ben afflwck movie but they didn't have a costume for my size and I would have been paid like 1/3 of the rate for another acting job that was a more enjoyable project I so I didn't. I'm too tall anyway for me to be included in too much anyway

First Transformers movie when the helicopter first transforms and blows up the military base. I was one of the soldiers running around like a chicken with his head cutoff.

I work in the business. Extras get long hours, low pay, usually lower end lunches and few breaks. Every family member that says they want to do it I tell them not to bother. The business is almost dead in Louisiana too. Many are leaving for Georgia.

My dad was an extra in Urban Cowboy

I did it once. It was interesting for the first couple of hours, then it got pretty boring. It's a lot of doing the same thing over and over, with a lot of waiting around in between.

No doubt. I've been an extra a few times and it's a really bad time/$ ratio. One plus can be that if you're single you have all day to work your game.
One of the films ended up giving me a named character and my own shot. I was terrible.

I haven't but my SO has been a extra in Pitch Perfect 1 & 2,Trumbo,The Big Short and Scream Queens. From what she explained to me the experience was pretty good for the most part.
What are you looking for exactly?

I had the same experience. I did eat a bunch of snacks and take a lot of really long breaks.

I was in a few between 2011-2013
- G I Joe Retaliation
- Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
- The Campaign
- The Bultler
It was fun and you got to meet a lot of interesting people. As a movie fan, it was great to see all that went into movie making. Got to meet a lot big name actors including Will Ferrell. Bad part is you get treated like shite most of the times. A lot of times we had to be on set at 6am and we weren't needed until 6pm that night. A lot of sitting around waiting to be called over.
I'm glad I did it but I'll never do it again.

Was almost in that "stay alive" film, was walking home and they were set up filming in the bywater. They liked my "look". Turned it down because it seemed silly, and at the time I didn't want to be associated with such a film. But I did see Sophia Bush in person.

Not sure what you are asking why too? If to why is Lousiana about to die for movies? They lowered their tax incentive. Low enough to get productions to look other places. The state will get one to two big movies a year. This year I think they have Gambit and Wolverine? They have the tv show scream and NCIS. Scream Queens moved to California. Georgia is really busy at the moment and many film crew members have been transferring there this past year. Film production see signs of a state losing their incentive and they go to more stable states.

I was in a tom cruise movie recently as a body double for a guy that dies. First day sucked. Second was awesome. Food was amazing I was there for the Christmas party. Too lazy to type it all out but it was worth the experience
