I watched the original Transformers movie back in 07. It was horrible. Just a blatant attempt to sell a new generation of toys.

A lot of Junkion footage is recycled. I cant believe they spent two years on it.

Looking at you Pete's Dragon

First movie I remember seeing in a theater. Parents brought me to the ice capades and it was sold out so we watched Pete's waiting for next show.

Power Ranger movie

I actually watched this on Netflix about a year ago, and, honestly, I still liked it.

I tried to make my wife watch Congo because I loved Amy. She ruined the movie for me 2 minutes in when she told me she didn't want to watch a movie with a fake gorilla in it. I always thought Amy was a real gorilla

Still funny. Watched it with the family a few years ago. The humor and the delivery is different though.

Still cracks me up when Jimmy Durante kicks the bucket.

I looked it up. Muppets. When they came out I was a teenager. I guess that's why I don't know what they are. But I'm puzzled at why they aren't just Muppets

I'm also usually struck by how much I hate the protagonist in old kids' movies I once liked. Little Big League for example (still decent, but the main character sucks).

Agreed. I can remember as a kid thinking Billy Heywood was awesome, now I realize Billy Heywood was a colossal tool for 90% of the movie.

My submission to the childhood favorite that was later realized to be absolute crap would be The Three Ninjas. Maybe it was because I had two younger siblings and the youngest looked and acted a lot like Tum Tum, but man I had a lot of fun watching it (and the sequels... don't remember the names right now, but can still remember the "plots"). Saw the original a few years ago and realized how retarded of I kid I was.

Transformers: The Movie was the biggest disappointment of my youth. The first 20 minutes are the coolest thing ever even with my childhood heroes getting killed left and right. The rest of the movie is the most boring crap I've ever watched. Still can't get Jar Jar Wheelie out of my head. A few years ago I watched it again and stopped it the moment Starscream gets killed knowing what was ahead.

It has aged poorly, but I still enjoy it. His pants crack me up the whole time, though.
