I need to rewatch Monster Squad. It's been too long. I wonder if it will still make me want to light a match with the bottom of my sneaker after coming to a sliding stop on my bike while wearing leather gloves.

8 year old me thought Batman and Robin was the shite. Re-watched it in college and dear lord

Ditto for Batman Forever. I loved that movie as a kid. Re-watched it few years ago on TV and it was soooooooo godawful.

Joel Schumacher is the worst.

I guess I did not realize as a kid that Skolnick basically raped that girl while he was dressed as Darth Vader.

Those whacky nerds.

Thank you.

After the Heavyweights thread last week, I bought it on Amazon. $6 we'll spent.

I don't think any 80s fantasy should be mentioned in this thread. I've never seen Beastmaster, but I love most of the ones mentioned in this thread still

Beastmaster!

I will fight anyone making false aspersions on the Beast.

My submission to the childhood favorite that was later realized to be absolute crap would be The Three Ninjas. Maybe it was because I had two younger siblings and the youngest looked and acted a lot like Tum Tum, but man I had a lot of fun watching it (and the sequels... don't remember the names right now, but can still remember the "plots"). Saw the original a few years ago and realized how retarded of I kid I was.

Big Green.

Absolutely no character development. It makes zero sense that the sheriff and coach get together. There is no advancement in that relationship.

Absolutely. I watched it this summer when I was bored and its pretty terrible. They get good out of nowhere and in no time. They play, like, 8 games and are good all of a sudden after being terrible in the first 2. But I did love it as a kid.

I watched Ninja turtles movies not too long ago on TV and they were brutal. Especially the 3rd one where they went to China or some crap.

Secret of the Ooze was probably the best though
