The midichlorians don't really change the conception theory. He was conceived by the Force. The midichlorians was a dumb way to try and measure force abilities, but it didn't really tie in that much to his conception. It was just a Jesus analogy, which makes sense for his character.

I don't think so at all. I think it made it seem like he was a savior. Jesus didn't kill an entire race of people. Did Hitler have a father?

He was supposed to bring balance to the force, and he did. He just had a really shitty way of doing it.

Which made it meaningless for him not to have a father. It just felt kind of thrown in there. He had no characteristics of a "savior" or "Christ. He could have taken on the emperor instead of Obi Wan and all would have been resolved.

It just seemed meaningless to me for him not to have a father.

Unless he was conceived by the powers of a Sith lord. All they said is that there would be a "chosen one" with power to bring balance to the force. They never mentioned that it couldn't have been created by the mystical powers of the Dark Side

Kracka - when a mommy and daddy love each other very much, they share a special, naked "hug." And sometimes, the result of that "hug" is a baby.

Fair enough. But they really should have either explained more about it, or just never brought it in in the first place, IMO. That was just one of the many careless and meaningless things thrown into that trilogy.

Darts Plagius and Darth Sidious spent months in meditation trying to shift the force out of balance toward the dark side. They succeeded but the force reacted by creating the chosen one to bring balance back to the force. The force being skewed toward the dark side is why the Jedi's power was diminished in the prequels, as mentioned by Yoda.

Was this mentioned in one of the movies? If so, which one?

Interesting. I would have liked to hear more about that in the prequels instead of trade negotiations political bickering.
