Anyone watch B: The Beginning on Netflix? Saw it recommended last night and might give it a shot.

Bump. Any new recs?
I really enjoyed "The Devil Is a Part-Timer!"
It has action & it's full of humor--was a great binge. It's a shame there is no season 2

It's got beautiful visuals and an alright plot. The characters are decent, some even memorable, but I was never blown away.
I give it a B....minus.

I'm a little late to My Hero Academia, but I watched the entire S1 yesterday. It's a fun watch.

Watched a couple that I loved and a couple I couldn’t get through recently all on Netflix
Seven Deadly Sins- loved it. Non stop action with really cool fight scenes and humor
Devilman: Crybaby- much more mature anime that has some fricked up sequences but is AWESOME. Only 10 episodes so can be knocked out quick
Soul Eater- got about halfway through and put it down. It wasn’t terrible I just didn’t care about the characters and it wasn’t gripping me
Fullmetal Alchemist- I’ve seen this listed on everybody’s list as a top anime of all time but I’m 18 episodes deep and am really having trouble with it. I find it boring and the armor suit brother really whiny, going to stick with it for now

I enjoyed Devilman, as well. It almost felt like the entire theme changed halfway through, though, as I felt like the demonic impulses/changes were almost a metaphor for puberty but then it went waaaaaay past that.
I finally bit the bullet and got Crunchyroll. Binged a few that I’d heard good things about and would now recommend:
Rising of the Shield Hero: A solid twist on the isekai genre. They do a great job of....let’s call it inspiring feelings towards....certain characters straight out the gate.
Kaguya-sama, Love is War: A pretty funny exaggeration of relationship mind games. Watching the back and forth coupled with Chika’s cluelessness is quite entertaining.
Steins;Gate: I know I’m late to the party with this one but I finally got around to watching it and whew, what a ride. Some parts were seriously exhausting to watch, almost like you were going through it with him. I honestly can’t recommend this one enough.
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?: Ehhh, not bad but in a lot of ways not great either. Most characters seem criminally underdeveloped considering the potential backstories they have hinted at and I really can’t stand Hestia.
Zombieland Saga: I actually really enjoyed this one even though I’m not into idol shows. The twist at the beginning is great, learning more of the backstories as we progress feels fulfilling, and the manager is just the best.

Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?
The second season is coming out in a couple of months.
Prime just released the full season of Sword Oratoria: Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side. Which is like season 1.5 that follows Ais. I thought they did a great job of weaving the two stories together and gives a lot more detail on characters.
Also on prime is Rage of the Bahamut and Rage of the Bahamut;Virgin Soul. If you haven't seen those, I'd give them a viewing.

Any of you guys been watching one punch man season 2? It’s sad how much the animation declined due to the new studio but I still enjoy the characters so I’m not too mad...the latest episode actually had some great animation moments...next weeks episode should be incredible as well

Just started
Watched bleach and hunterxhunter recently.
Not quite done with Hunter yet but love it. Chimera ant arc is so good.
I'm on the post Aizen arc of bleach and not in it for some reason.
Looking for more.
Huge caveat....
I hate subtitles. Dubbed only or I'll wait till I've literally run out of dubbed stuff to watch. Japanese sounds like a screech owl and takes away all connection to the show.

So a poll for everyone.. which do you enjoy more Full Metal Alchemist or Full Metal Brotherhood?

Brotherhood 100%
That isn’t even a contest.
Also, Shield Hero is badass.

Attack on Titan returns this weekend.

I just finished ReLife and Toradora! and thoroughly enjoyed both!
They were quite successful in balancing the everyday “emergencies” of life with the overarching plot themes and were just fun/refreshing in general.
I’m not seeing some of the anime that I’ve got interest in watching on Crunchyroll, though. Any suggestions on where to find:
Akira
Samurai Champloo
Outlaw Star
Trigun
Thanks in advance.

Check the Tubi app for Akira. They have some decent anime but its all in Japanese.
Baki on Netflix is pretty good. I also enjoyed the live action Bleach more than I thought I would.

Much obliged!
As long as it’s subbed I don’t mind at all!

Just went through Neon Genesis Evangelion and End of Evangelion. I kinda knew what I was in for, especially with End of Evangelion, and it still exceeded my expectations. The last act of End of Evangelion structurally reminded me of the last act of 2001. I'm not sure what was going on but I really liked it. Great series all around.

i had given up on Eva around ep 13, was really bored. kinda hilarious in retrospect.
started it up again around noon yesterday, with ep 14 partially being a clip show, it helped bring me back up to speed. thought I would give it another chance to see if it ever got interesting. and then, around 9 pm, i had finished EoE.
still not really sure where the hell that spear came from and where Adam went, but man, the ending of the EOE is so much better than the series. crazy.

Reminder that HBO Max drops at the end of May and you'll have access to 20 Studio Ghibli films.
If you have any AT&T related TV, internet, or wireless service, you should get it free for a month to a year at minimum.
