What's your email? I'll send you the list I've been working on of everything I've seen. Then we can coordinate from there on who will handle what.
Sound alright?
Edit: I would handle as much as I can. I know you stay pretty busy.
Or did I misinterpret what you meant by "lets"?

Zeke just reminded me. Hunter X Hunter is a must, Netflix only has 100 episodes, but you can finish it on Crunchyroll.

Awesome. Thanks for the recs. After I get a Hulu set up this will probably be enough to keep me busy for good while. lol.

and I am about 160 episodes into One Piece.
Are you at skypiea?
I honestly skipped it because not a ton happens
Things really pick up at water 7 (ep 226)
Hell of a ride for the next 100 EPs after that and probably the best overall arc.
By the way I have a manga(manhwa in this case) recommendation:
Tower of God
Y'all won't regret it

Skip Skypiea? Well at least make sure you catch the Noland story and the poneglyph.
But I'll admit it's hard not to get excited for the water 7/ enies lobby arc.

Food Wars is surprisingly good. Well animated, legit recipes, and very funny. Kept reading good things about it, glad I gave it a shot.
Still kind of weirded out that I have reached the stage of watching non action/fantasy/thriller animes.

Bump.
Is anyone else watching Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash yet?
Only 7 episodes of S1 have been released so far, but I can safely say it's my favorite anime....ever. Period.
The characters, their development, decisions, actions, interactions, and reactions are all natural to the world around them, and perfectly believable to how different personalities would view and act upon finding themselves in their situation.
The action, drama, and overall premise are done perfectly. Even when the basic premise is over saturated in anime right now. It's by far the most realistic and relatable of the "stuck in another world" animes in attitude, function, presentation, and world design.
Even from a technical perspective it's almost perfect. The overall art design, color palette, writing, and even the bloody soundtrack, are all fantastic and fit the show perfectly.
It's an absolutely brilliant show, and I cannot say enough good things about it. I can only hope they don't ruin it from here. But after 7 episodes of consistency, they have my hopes very high.
As of right now, it will be the only show I have seen that would actually spend money on to purchase, and I will whenever it's available.
If you haven't given it a chance yet.
Go.
Watch.
It.

Solid list ya'll have been making on recommendations for anime.
Any of ya'll seen Noragami?
It's on hulu and I just finished the second season. It is a beautifully drawn show with some good action sequences, the right amount of humor, and character development.

I really enjoyed Season 1, and Season 2 was what I was most looking forward to out of the 2015 fall anime lineup. But for some reason season 2 lost me very quick. We're talking 2 to 2.5 episodes, and I can't figure out exactly why either. Maybe the pacing? Maybe the villain and overall plot? Character interactions? I haven't been able to figure out exactly what was wrong with it. The only thing that I know bothered me for sure was the attitude Bishamonten and Yato still had toward each other.
I'm going to power through it at some point, I just can't bring myself to do it for some reason.
I just finished Toradora! earlier today. After starting it on Monday. I am a fantasy action fan through and through, and finished a freaking RomCom before S2 of Noragami. Which btw, I started late last fall.
I'm not saying all of this to down your suggestion. I'm honestly hoping someone else felt the same, but figured out what was bothering them, and were able to finish because they did. That way, they can tell me.
By the by, Toradora!: 6.5/10
Nice premise, and I give them points for breaking free from several of the standard anime romcom tropes. But in several ways it fell flat imo. Was very predictable, and still followed too many tropes for its own good. It did show far more character development than your average anime. But it never allowed the growth to be fully realized, nor did the growth always feel natural. Though I'm sure there is a bit of a cultural gap which skews things a bit. That being said, the premise felt far more like an American romcom than an anime. Oregairu was a fair bit better imo. Though I do wish there had been some sort of relational finality. A similar manner as to what we were given with Toradora! at the very least.

Almost week old pic of the new series that was released:
New Trailer
I really don't know what to think. the original trailer with the shitty CG animation looked bad, but there were a couple cool shots that looked hand drawn. I hope it ends up okay.
Apparently the show will be on crunchyroll, which I'm excited about.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Gungrave..extremely good series if you like mafia anime. Even if you don't like mafia anime I think you would like it..great story.
If you like dark anime you should check out Texhnolyze and Ergo Proxy. Both set in dystopian worlds. Texhnolyze starts off extremely slow, there is actually hardly any dialogue in the first episode.
Also Vampire Hunter D (the movie) is another good one.

Tokyo Ghoul is pretty dark. Beautifully animated too. Just a fricked up show though.
Highschool of the Dead 4/10. All of that 4 is for the animation. What is there to say about the show....It's made for cavemen? "Me man. Guns good. So are tits and arse. Me like show with all 3. Highschool of dead give me lots of all 3. Me like show."
