SAO is a personal favorite. I've watched it enough that I can watch it in Japanese and roughly know what the dialogue is with no subtitles. It's not that old, 2012 was Season 1, 2014 for Season 2. Season 3 will be out next year some time. Will probably be the last season unless some major movement happens in the Manga.

When I cant sleep I put it, or the first season of Arrow on, and after about 45 minutes of listening with my eyes shut. Away I go.

The show has issues, the pacing is way, way off for example. But I love it, and I don't even care. I'm not one of those waifu nerds, but Asuna is one of my favorite chicks in Anime. Even she follows standards tropes though. Sigh.

There is a channel that did a "Everything Wrong With" episode for SAO. They call Kirito "Jesus-kun" in it. I found that highly irreverent, funny, and more than kinda accurate.

Just finished 7 Deadly Sins.

I have to agree with Scruffy. It was a truly excellent show. Hits all the right notes. Action, comedy, tension, suspense. It's already one of my favorites.

I can almost guarantee there will be a second season, especially with Netflix involved. The show did a lot to hint at questions that have yet to be answered, the Manga is well ahead of the TV show, and it has sold over 10 million copies. Which is the most important aspect for a show getting a second season in Japan, strangely enough.

It's like the tail wagging the dog compared to what we are used to.

Yep, plus, we haven't met all the sins yet.

They have a lot left to tell.

Thankfully.

I'm tired of one season long action shows that always leave us hanging for a second season.

Speaking of second seasons, any ideas where I can see Noragami Aragato? It just started this fall in Japan.

Edit: Did GATE take a production break or get cancelled? Or was it just an awkward season end?

Edit 2: You need to watch Beautiful Bones dude. Best looking animation I've ever seen from an Anime. It's simply gorgeous.

Finished 2 series in the past week.

No Game No Life and Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.

Enjoyed NGNL more, only thing annoying about it is the fan service, its a little much even for my tastes.

Magi was simply fun, never really feel the danger. Just a good ole magic-action joyride.

One more comment on NGNL. I've gotten to the point I've started recognizing studio's, I absolutely love Madhouse's stuff. Every show of theirs I've seen is top notch. However, why do they continuously pick Mangas they can only turn into 1 season? Only one I've seen from them longer than 24 episodes is Hunter x Hunter, and its not long enough either.

So, they are my favorite studio, and the one I hate the most.

Speaking of Madhouse and prematurely ended shows, when the frick is GATE going to start back up? Cutting it off mid-season is bull.

Like Magi a lot because it gets serious.

Never felt serious, I mean, they tried. But it never sold me on it. Which is one thing a show like Akame Ga Kill did manage to convey. Despite its many flaws.

Let me rephrase, it did get serious, I meant I didn't really feel the danger. Maybe the second season will do it.

Wasn't it supposed to start back in this month? It was scheduled for a 24 ep season. Did the production delays push it so far back they simply decided to wait?

I've seen two episodes, bootlegs on YouTube. I can't find anywhere that streams it. I really enjoyed the first two, but can't find anymore on there.

Only stupid reaction videos from overly excitable anine fans.

Edit: Watched an episode of Beautiful Bones yet? It's kind of like Bones meets....House, I guess? But done with beautiful hand drawn anime.

If you are going by the OP, that hasn't been updated since this thread was made.

I watched the 1st season of Tokyo Ghoul. Need to finish it.

Hulu, bruh. It's worth the money for anime alone.

Berserk is about to get a new anime series. Only one screenshot has been released so far and it looks to finally be an anime adaptation of what follows the eclipse.

More info should be coming Christmas Day when the new manga episode gets released

New Berserk trailer

Honestly, being a big Berserk manga fan, the trailer kinda looks like crap. Not a fan of all the CGI.

Still, it should be interesting seeing something not Golden Age arc in animated form. Curious what people who saw the recent movies think of this trailer

Found a new anime I've enjoyed pretty well.

Lord Marksman and Vanadis.

They have some obvious budget issues on big battle shots, but outside of that, it's been good.

More of a Sword and Sorcery, D&D type fantasy series, which means it was perfect for me.

Also finished up everything available on One Punch and Dragonball Super.

One Punch is almost perfect. Good grief it's fun.

Edit: I just can't do bad computer animation. I just can't. I still have yet to watch Berserk. Don't ask me why I haven't gotten around to it yet.

The manga is really the only way to follow it at this point. The other mediums just don't do it the justice it deserves. At this point I feel like the '97 anime is the best version they've come out with.

Yarp, no dub yet. Just started this fall. Usually dubs come out in the US almost a yr later, or longer.
