But at 7 hours per day we watch on average 2 hours more television per day than whites. And 2.5 hours more than Hispanics and a whopping 4 hours more than Asians. That's insane!

Anyway it comes down to money. Let the advertisers decide whether or not it's a good idea.

There's your problem. They can't come up with new material, so they recycle old shows with a black cast and call it "diversity."

True diversity is more than just race.it also encompasses differences in age, sex, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, etc.

To their credit, ABC does feature a show with one of the most diverse casts currently on TV.....Once Upon a Time.

To many blacks, that equals diversity. I know when I was at LSU, all of the staff of the Department of Diversity were black. No Asians, Latinos, or any other ethnic group.

were in negotiations to bring many old tv shows back with black casts like uncle buck. shite you not

Remember when Fresh Prince grabbed viewers of all races? You know how Brooklyn 99 is one of the hottest shows on tv with it's really diverse cast?

It's because the diversity is not the story. They all "act like they've been there before." Then you can do an episode like the one where Uncle Phil and the boys got wrongfully imprisoned by the dirtbag cop and Phil had to go mid-evil on his arse and have the audience cheer for his righting of a wrong. Or you can do an episode where someone gives Capt Holt shite about being gay and the squad comes to his defense and not have to preach.

Isn't that what people really want? To have society not single out certain people because of things like this?

But this is terrible for people with agendas. Normalizing is the last thing they want.
