So, a co-worker recommended this show to me and I've DVRed the start of this season. After watching the first two episodes, I've decided that this co-worker must hate me. Am I supposed to be rooting for the clowns? Are the other seasons better?

Just watch season 1 and stop

I guess you could watch season 2 if you want to see some fricked up shite with a disappointing ending

Meh. Like all Ryan Murphy shows, they start out well and end up giving you blue balls. S1 (unofficially titled Murder House) seems to get the most love.

Then Watch the Freak Show season until the Halloween Episode and then stop. From there purge the knowledge that other seasons exist.

The two part Halloween episode from Freak Show was prolly two of the best hours of AHS. Twisty the clown was awesome.

Newest season has been a disappointment. Making it so heavily geared toward the election is just lazy to me. There really hasn't been a point established either.

I made it through like 15 minutes of the first episode this season... couldnt watch whatever season was the 'hotel' either. I would not recommend wasting anymore time with it

The show sucks. Watched season one which was alright. Season down was ok but went downhill. Do not understand why this show gets so much hype

Haven't watched in a long time but now I'm hooked on the lulz. The show is a meltdown, a fictional one and a real one. They're making fun of themselves and they don't even realize it

The person writing this shite is even crazier than the main character

Watch season 1 and call it a day. Huge downturn in season 2 and from season 3 onward it's pretty much the worst cable production on tv.

It's honestly the show that ended the golden age of tv. It's all of television jumping the shark

Start and finish with season 1.

Dylan McDermott carried the show better than anyone else they've had.

Oh yes. I can discern between when they deliberately mock themselves (and to their credit they do) and when they're unwittingly mocking themselves

It's clearly a satire of liberal hysteria and the right's alleged fear mongering.

Yeah I'm not retarded

But that satire is based on how you see the world, and if you live in a bubble, it shows

It's not funny anymore but on South Park the satire of types of people isn't way off base. They understand who it is they're satirizing.

So in the end they're unwittingly satirizing how distorted their view is of the rest of the country and it's super funny but it's not meant to be
