Was that bar scene filmed at F&M's?

Agree to disagree. I think this season is fantastic. If you're a fan of old school horror movies and the genre in general you should be loving this season. It's fantastic.

This show came screaming out the gates and hasn't looked back. Fantastic and well-acted. A wonderful, dark show.

I was wondering the same thing. It sure did look a lot like F&M's.

Solid episode... God, I was hoping Paulson's character was gone

Bitch is terrible

Also, Murphy needs to roll back with all of his gay shite... Yes Yes, I know he is gay, but he forces it too damn much.

That's gays for you.

I wasn't really paying much attention, but what the hell was going on with the scene(s) with the twin dying, the cupcake and all that and then...not? Someone's dream sequence?

It went back and forth from his fantasy to reality.

Then, very poorly executed by the director.

That's for you to decide but the halloween shot was ridiculous 1. Kid with clown mask 2. First person view with mask on 3. Walking down the stairs

Sounds like a great homage to me and I smiled when they did it because of how much it reminded me of Halloween.

Paulson has been fine. I like her two different characters and how well she portrays them.

Meh. Point of this show is to shock and make uncomfortable. I don't think the gay thing has been overdone.

Yeah, you 'got' me...you're so amazing.

I did pay attention to the awful directing on this episode.

You say you didn't understand it and then admit you didn't pay attention. Not that hard of a concept to understand.

Right...but you didn't pay attention so how can you say it was awful?

Even in the beginning of the episode they made a reference to him having fantasies.

Remember the fortune teller saying something like "Nice fantasy, but it won't work."

the audible breathing was the hallmark of the movie Halloween, they used it.

it's borderline shot for shot stealing.

paying homage would be referencing it in a creative way, not just doing exactly what someone else did

I've been over this before and people don't feel the same way. Just like I feel like Fringe jacked ideas from the X-Files every chance they got.

I don't see the creativity in doing what other people did, and doing it a lot.

this season is a huge step up from last season, but they still haven't cut it out with the glee bullshite, it's not on par with season 1 & 2.

Weird, I was able to clearly understand what was going on after the sequence was over. But the whole point of the sequence was to confuse the audience as to whether the action on screen was really occurring. It was three layers of fantasy. Actually an interesting ploy for the sophisticated viewer.
