Just wathced the last few episodes and love this show. How does the first season compare to this one?

First season was way better IMO. I think most will feel the same.

First season is a completely different story so you can watch it whenever. A lot of the same actors/actresses but they play different parts.
The 2 seasons are different but good in their own right. I would probably place the first ahead of the second but it remains to be seen how the second will end.

It's hard to compare the two seasons because the storylines are so different. I guess I would put season 1 slightly ahead of 2, but that's not a knock against season 2 at all, jmo

havn't seen first season, but the second season is cool, i still really have no idea what's going on though.

As everyone else said, completely different storylines. I liked season 1 more - more continuity, just didn't jump around as much with the story. Season2 isso overtly sexual, it's like they are just trying too hard to cross the line for shock value.

s1 was legit scary, I really enjoyed it. After each episode I was jumpy.
s2 is all over the place and more effed up than scary. After each of these episodes I feel depressed.

Agreed. I like the second season OK, but it just hasn't completely reeled me in like the first season did. I found the family in S1 much more compelling than this reporter/nun/Nazi doctor trifecta.

Agree as well. S2 relies more on shock factor/a lot more disturbing & gross. S1 was more spooky scary/made you jump.
IMO S1 had more continuity & you really feel for the Harmon's & get close to some characters. S2 I honestly don't really like anyone/don't feel connected.

Season 2 isn't bad, I just think Season 1 had a better flow to the story line. It was concise and moving towards something, whereas 2 is just throwing shite in there.
Biggest question is where the frick is Pepper... I have no doubt she will resurface at some point, but they just gave up looking.
