Anyone else catch the news crawl "Gang War rages in Hell's Kitchen"?
I did not, but i like that.
After last week's awesome episode, although i hate that Bobbie and Hunter aren't on the show anymore, absolutely hate it, this episode was pretty meh.

If there's one thing Agents of Shield does really well, even if the "vehicles" they use for it aren't that great, is to set up major events in the Marvel movies.
Season 1 built up to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, then all hell broke loose
Season 2 began the build up towards Inhumans and the events of Age of Ultron complemented the end of the season
Season 3 is just starting to build up towards Civil War. If it's anything like the comics after the Secret Warriors arc, Coulson will be arrested and Johnson will be put in charge of Shield.

I think they've been building up to Civil War for quite some time now.
I just really wish they would have made an effort to really tie this show more into the movies, and even the Netflix shows, via cameos. It doesn't have to be anything major.
Just have Iron Man fly over and take a few guys out and defuse a tricky situation in seconds, then have him call Coulson and say, "Phil, thought you were dead", Coulson says something witty back to him, Iron Man says something jackass like back, and end of conversation and cameo. He could have just been on his way to Norway or wherever he went for Age of Ultron where the internet hub was, and saw a quinjet so made a minor detour to help very quickly.
They could have JJ come on and question her about Kilgrave, just to see if he was an inhuman or not.
I think integrating the Netflix people to this show a little more would be nice, especially with Civil War coming up. Maybe Season 4 of AoS will incorporate more stuff like that depending on how Civil War goes.
Still don't understand why they don't tell the Avengers coulson is alive. That could be done in the upcoming movie, but it won't. It's as if they don't want to tell them he's alive simply to keep the film and tv separate.
They have all these tv shows, but don't use the movies that hundreds of million of people go see to try to give the show a nod somehow and give it a little advertisement.

Wasn't that Smash Williams as Mack's brother?

Anyone else hear them name drop Damage Control?
Posted on 4/1/16 at 12:45 pm to Socrates Johnson
Yep, Daisy said that Damage Control would be coming to fix this.

That Coulson hasn't gone to Hell's Kitchen yet is one my biggest disappointments regarding the MCU...especially since given the story SHIELD has been looking for gifted people...and JJs ties to SHIELD, etc.

Yes it was. We missed a smash/Tyra reunion by one week

I just caught up on the past 3 episodes. I'm not sure where to start but how has no one brought up the SHOTGUN AXE YET??? That was great tv right there!

I get this, because it would be more than just name drops or references. But when they did have cameos early on, the show hadn't really found its legs and that helped generate interest. However, the show has been at full sprint for a while now and really doesn't need more than name drops or references IMO. I feel like, at this point, it would be more advantageous for there to be a cameo or reference to the show made in a movie.

I came here thinking others would be growing bored of AoS like myself. Maybe there are just other shows that have more of my interest, but I find it really hard to get through each episode lately.

Last episode didn't really do it for me. They had some cool camera stuff going on and tried to make it look more creepy, but the subject matter didn't really warrant it.
I also don't really like Mac all that much, so his family storyline (which was cheesy already) didn't matter to me at all.
And in another shocking twist, a former SHIELD agent is working against them. Whoopty doo. At this point it would be more of a surprise if a former agent ended up on their side.

It seemed like it picked up right where they cut in,though. I was ticked when they cut in
I wonder where they're headed with the whole "each inhuman has a purpose" angle.

My DVR cut the recording during the preview of next week right when Ward said it "is time for you to see what I really look like." His head looked like it was about to turn to something that looked like the head of Andrew/Lash and the recording stopped.
Could anyone describe if Ward looked similar to Lash?

That's where the preview stopped

Pretty sure this is setting up to be Lash vs Ward 2.0.

Why hell did they not do the continuous scroll at the bottom of the screen like they have done for every other Tuesday election this cycle?
Whoever made the decision to force George Stephanopoulos on us all in the middle of a show is a dickhead.

It looked like he started growing tentacle dreads, then the preview ended.
