After 3 weeks, what do you think of the new South Park connected story set up?

I'm assuming everyone has noticed that now what happened in previous episodes has an effect on the next episode, something we generally don't see with South Park. Sure they've done some major changes with characters (Mr. Garrison's sex change, killing Ms. Crabtree), and obviously they have the trilogies and multi episode stories from time to time. Now, at least for this season, it looks like what happens in previous episodes is actually remembered by the characters and changes the next episode.

I think it's pretty interesting, I wonder if they'll keep it up, every time they are in the gym and it's still all messed up from Butters burning it down I get a good laugh

Yes. I am waiting for them setting it up to make a running meta joke through the season...I just hope people catch them. People seem to be missing a lot nowadays.

Maybe there's a plan for something huge at the end??

Could be interesting. I'm intrigued and glad the show continues to try new things.

It almost feels like they're setting up to parody all the "connected universes", the studios are trying to set up. That may be off but its just wierd for them to try it all of a sudden. IMO, its great though. It gives them more chances for the in jokes by referencing the previous episodes.

It seems as though they're going for an almost "community" approach this year.

recurring joke I've never noticed before. It's only been used twice and once in the video game, but I wish I had caught it before.

Not a fan. The jokes need to be stronger if I'm going to keep laughing at them.

If they bring back the better storylines from a bunch of previous episodes and tie them together it would be pretty awesome

Personally, I don't know why they haven't tried this sooner.

Butters in the bathroom is still one of their all time best jokes.

I really liked Randy's gluten-free PBR this week. Even if the continuity is just nods like that to earlier episodes in the season I'd enjoy it.

They've done it before (normally connected with Kenny) and it's always done well. Enjoying it this time too.
