Hanks literally carried Cast Away by himself.
The Burbs is a cult classic.
My favorite actor. Hands down.
Can do comedy, action, drama, etc.
His comedic roles are what put him over the top for me in regards to other actors.

These were my favorite actors, and most were on other lists which is not surprising to the late nite dick head buzz kill guy....
Oh yea it's that time of the night he has to get up to PEE and goes on a downer rampage.
Well....NO SOUP FOR YOU
arse.
Irritated from insomnia peace out

Oddly enough Dwayne The Rock Johnson
I know, I know some of his movies do suck, but I can honestly say I've enjoyed him regardless of role in every movie I've watched of his.

If we're talking about right now, then obviously Tom Cruise is one. He might have a bad rep, but if he's on his game, he can carry any type of film, and make it enjoyable. Of course his reputation may also kill the film at the box office. The Estevez/Sheen brothers (Emilio and Charlie) used to be in this category, but have faded away; I think if Emilio gets the right role, he can have a career rebirth (think along the lines of Robert Downey Jr).
Travolta is another, he went through a major slump, but then had a huge run as a guy you had to see.
I'm guessing Chris Pratt will be the next guy to do so.

He's on his game 99% of the time. That's the thing about Cruise. Yes, he's a wackjob, but when it comes to acting, he WORKS. The guy gives A+ effort, all the time. No lazy performances. That's why he's so successful. I'll go see a Tom Cruise movie any time, despite his crazy religion, because I know that Tom is going to work hard in it to give me my money's worth.

Denzel and Cruise are obvious.
Training Day, Man on Fire (his co-star was a damn child) -
Cruise carries every Mission Impossible.
Streep carried Devil Wears Prada despite Hathaway's hotness. Seriously, the rest of that cast sucked.
And J-law...I don't watch those crap Hunger Games nonsense...
But she carried Winter's Bone, Silver Linings and she carried Joy...her screen presence is everything.

Tom Hanks, Duane Johnson, Keanu Reeves, Channing Tatum, Tom Cruise, John C. Reilly, and Denzel Wahington in the greatest action/comedy/romance/drama/tear jerker/biopic/sports/mockumentary of ALL TIME!
My apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time.
