this series is tailor made for Badger and Skinny Pete

fricking this.

One of the few complaints I have about Breaking Bad is not enough Badger

I second this motion. THIS is the untold story, not the history of Saul.

That being said, I am excited about this venture, I enjoyed Saul as a character.

Except they already told his origin story, albeit in Spanish

Badger is great. I started watching them again and forgot he was a sign spinner for a bank early on.

d forgot he met Chewbacca.

Nope. In a New Hope after a rewatch it is clear he knew Chewbaca. He meets with Chewbaca first. Why would an old Jedi approach a random Wookie unless they knew each other? I think there were signs that Chewie knew Obi.

We'd have to suspend belief that he never met Saul before Walter right?

Exactly... I'd love for this to work, but I don't see how it will.

I think the Saul/Mike/Gus line is where this needs to stay.

Unless Badger and Skinny Pete are Jesse's connection to Saul and Jesse never crosses Saul's path... But what the point of having Jesse unless he's going to be in main story line.

Hank is the one character that really doesn't need to be in this. Walt too for that matter.

The only way to fit Walt in, would be when he was working for Bogdan, at the car wash

A Walt cameo could be funny, but it should be a one time deal.

This show is set up for failure, in a similar way Treme was set up to fail after The Wire.

People are gonna go into this show subconsciously just wanting more Breaking Bad. The backlash will start as soon as its obvious that it isn't BB.

Adding guys like Jesse Pinkman or cameos from other BB characters will only tease people and eventually just piss the audience off more.

I like the idea as well, but wouldn't that be typecasting him for TV only? Not sure how well NFS was received, but I wouldn't think this would be a good career move for him.

I agree.

It should just be a quick shout out to the BB fans, if they do it at all.

Something like Saul walking through a grocery store and we see a younger, school teacher, Walt shopping in the background. He shouldn't even say anything, imo.
