Good ones already mentioned. In the Mood for Love (2000) comes to mind for me, flawless movie. Hitchcock's Psycho and Vertigo also come to mind.

Even though I hate, hate, hate this movie.

Possibly Requiem for a Dream (2000)

Not for me at all, but may fit what you are asking. Idk.

I'm gonna agree with the op regarding oceans 11. It's probably the most "fun" movie I've ever seen.

Something about the chemistry between the characters, the actors and the location made it perfect. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously and how they pulled off the heist was awesome.

For an action movie, terminator 2 was perfect also.

My pick as well.

I'll throw out Breaking Away as the sleeper pick.

I agree with Oceans 11. It was much better than the original. The sequels were not good, though.

The Hunt for Red October is my pick. It just works from beginning to end.

The Clooney Oceans 11 is a solid flick all around.

The sequels to it were just awful.

Inception is polarizing but it definitely fits the mold for me.

Agree with the Toy Story selection.

I'll also propose School of Rock and Die Hard. Everything about those movies worked perfectly for me.

For those saying Clooney's Ocean's 11, have you seen the original?

I haven't. I'm just wondering if it's any good.

They have a Disney tv show called School of Rock that is a spin off of the movie.. oh boy how bad it is.. Goes to really show how great the movie is.. The guy playing Jack Black's role actually tries to talk exactly like him.
