For quite a while now I've felt that the worse thing about going to the movies was the inconsiderate people in the theater. People on their cell phones and people who constantly talk drive me insane. I've always thought that if you can't put your phone down for two hours and enjoy the movie, do everyone a favor and stay home. Well My Mom and Grandmother went to the movie yesterday and they saw something I've never seen someone do in a movie theater in my life. A group of people came in late and sat a row in front of them. They had a toddler with them that was constantly running around and making noise which is annoying but not too uncommon (the two adults were talking a lot also). Well halfway through the movie the mother proceeded to lay the child down on the dirty movie floor and change the kid's poopy diaper in the theater! I was kinda blown away by this... Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? How inconsiderate can people be?

I wait for the movie to be out a while before seeing in a theatre. I can't deal with the sounds of crunching popcorn and the rustle of the inner plastic candy box liner.

Yeah, if I had to see/smell someone changing their kid's dirty diaper in a theater, I'd get the management.

I've found that old audiences can sometimes talk to each other like they're watching TV at home.

Young audiences will check their phones and text throughout the movie.

Middle-aged is a good audience.

Is Alamo Draft House really coming to BR?

I've been to the theater maybe 3 times in the last 5 years. Each time has been around lunchtime on a weekday at least a month after release, and I have hte place to myself. It's great, no idiots to annoy me, just a personal theater to myself.

Considering it's part of a Spinosa development, I'd say it's flip a coin.

We will be getting a Movie Tavern, though, for sure. Citiplace is currently under renovation to become the new Movie Tavern.

Poopy diaper change is pretty bad. Worst I've ever seen in a theater is a guy fingerbanging his wife with their kid sitting next to them. He wasn't even all that discreet about it.

Yeah, it's really about when you go see the movie in theaters.

Had I been in that theatre there's a really good chance I'd be in jail now. I would have lost my shite. Rude movie goers are scum at the same level as people who smoke in non-smoking areas, shitty drivers, child molestors, and Westboro Baptist Church goers.

I've come close to getting in a fight a couple of times because refuse to sit quietly by while some inconsiderate piece of shite pops open their phone and disturbs the audience. Same goes for people who brings disruptive children to adult movies. (If you're at a kids movie then just expect kids to be running around and disruptive, it's a package deal).

Alamo theatre has a lot of great things going for it, the best of which is their attitude on these frickers. You pull out your cell phone, they kick your arse out. Bye.

More and more I'm beginning to hate people in large groups and social settings. Going to the mall or a festival have become almost too much for me. The IQ of the masses is falling like a brick from a hotair balloon.

I never go to the movies at night anymore. Early showing on a Sunday, or early afternoon during the week if I'm not at work.

Do they have similar rules like Alamo? If they do, I would go there just to watch people like those in the OP get tossed out.

Alamo sounds awesome, are there any in New Orleans/Baton Rouge? I know at the AMC I usually go to these assholes have free rein to do whatever they want to.. I know I have emailed AMC complaining about their lack of control in the their theaters and they sent me some free passes. But its the same shite over and over again.

Edit- seems that they are mostly in Texas

Theater surfing is trashy as shite. They don't even care about the movie. It's just the fact that they're seeing for free that they like, and they don't seem to care if their toddlers see horrific violence or graphic sex. These people need to be executed.

If they do, it's nothing anywhere near as strict as Alamo.

My new favorite move is the "Walk in late to the movie and use your phone as a flashlight" move.

Pure class.

I watched the dark knight rises in the theater whenever it first came out and there was this f@g behind me coughing through the whole movie. I would have just moved but the place was packed. Some people are just f*cking inconsiderate.

So I guess you don't poop? How about getting off your high horse and quit worrying about other people's phones and shite?
