For sure it was underrated when it came out, but it's appropriately rated now. Underrated movies don't get their own marathons.

I love this movie. I own it on DVD and this year I got the leg lamp stocking for a Christmas decoration.

My bad, Shepherd not Smart. In fact I think Jean Smart was an actress from the show "Designing Women".
I kinda always figured the credit was in reference to his childhood, I didnt know it was actually him doing the narration.

The story is part of a novel called In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash. It is one of my favorite books!
