I admittedly haven’t seen Poor Things yet, so don’t have that frame of reference.

Poor things is cleaning up.
ETA: I can’t for the life of me tell what it’s about either.

The point is the exact same as the Barbie movie. The exact same.
A pregnant woman who commits suicide is preserved by a poor man’s Dr. Frankenstein who transplants her baby’s brain into her dead body.
It’s Frankenstein meets Barbie meets Forrest Gump.

Oh, no. I I always thought GoT was a mediocre show with strongly hateable characters from the first episode

I’m gonna need it to not bring puffy shoulders back though.

it was either this or sucking some old dude's d*** for Cena's initiation.
i would've chosen this to given the options

Poor things. A movie about a girl getting railed repeatedly or am I getting this wrong? Have not seen it but this is my impression of it.

I’m assuming it’s a more modern spin on Frankenstein.
It’s on Hulu now so I’ll probably give it a watch.

Can you imagine when she said "thanks to my husband who looks after the kids so I can work" if Cena said "thanks to my wife who looks after the kids so I can work"

…with no consequences. Men throw themselves at her like she’s Aphrodite. She treats them like shite, whores herself out, and they still want her.

Poor Things is one of those movies that will win all of the Oscars bc it's liberal and edgy and has a woman lead role being a slut and fricking many men and that's somehow something to aspire to be by the left, but in reality it's just a weird movie. I didn't get where it was trying to go. It just didn't feel like a movie with a plot.
Just lacked substance and was a movie that didn't get me engaged.

How do these people not have any remarks ready? The last chick fumbled about at first with no one to thank, then she started rolling and wouldn’t shut up.

Like it or not, it's a powerhouse in some of these tech categories.

Woman dies pregnant. Crazy, deformed doc puts baby’s brain in mother and reanimates her. She’s dumb and awkward. Guy falls in love with her. She discovers her lady bits and decides to run away with a man who just wants to use her physically and emotionally. She gets tired of him and join a brothel. Eventually she returns home and discovers how she was created.
It’s like Barbie in that there’s an existential crisis and path of discovery. But not much else is alike imo.

I really hope the award season gives us more Lily Gladstone. It looks like she has a show coming out on Hulu. Outside of Killers, she was great in Reservation Dogs.
