It probably will, but I'm certain you'll still go watch JL.

I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of Man of Steel at first. Seemed over the top with the destruction of the city. Then, upon watching Batman v Superman, it made much more sense.

I actually enjoyed Batman v Superman. I know I'm in the minority. Suicide Squad was different. While not my favorite movie ever, it got more hate than it probably deserved.

I'm chalking up Wonder Woman as a necessary prequel to understand the character. In Marvel, Captain America: The First Avenger was not a great movie, but it was necessary. I'm hoping for something great with Justice League.

I'll give you MoS and BvS (I disagree with you about them, but they did have redeeming qualities).

But Suicide Squad got exactly the amount of hate it deserved. The studio rushed through of quarter-baked script and the results absolutely showed on screen. It was just bad

I'll be in the minority on this one... I think the First Avenger is the heart and soul of the MCU. It's a little cheesy in parts- but I think they played the tone perfectly with a nod to moving Steve Rogers into the present. My hope for Wonder Woman lies solely on what I've seen in trailers and faith in Patty Jenkins. The cinematography looks lush and beautiful and the action looks dynamic and original. I'm going to be excited about it right up until I see it- no matter how much bitching I read. The MCU fangirls have it out for SNYDRA and are working hard.

The lack of advertising for this movie is odd. It comes out in a little over a month and there's been hardly any previews for it. I've seen the JL trailer at the last couple of movies I've been to. Its almost like DC knows Wonder Woman is gonna suck and is putting all their effort into JL.

I'll agree with that, but I liked what I saw from the short bursts of Batman. I know most people hate Ben Affleck, but he's doing a solid job with the character as older Batman. His parts in SS gave a bit more of a glimpse of what's to come in JL, I think.

This is last week's group think message. You have heeded the call. You're bitching about lack of advertising after 3 trailers, a new Dr. Pepper campaign, a Wonder Woman racing car that Danica Patrick will drive, and two new tv spots that are the reason for this post. Well done.

You can't deny DC has been promoting JL way more than WW.

How so? They've only released the San Diego trailer and one other trailer for Justice League. Wonder Woman has had multiple trailers and TV spots.

Observe me doing so... do you have any thoughts about what you've seen onscreen or do you just want to parse advertising and why you think this movie will suck?

DC's track record isn't the best. No reason to think this will be any different.

The trailers look good, as they did for SS.

I will reserve judgement until I see it.

I want it to be good. It's just hard to have faith right now. We'll see...

A perfectly reasonable stance. I'm reserving judgment as well...but I'm also undeniably excited by what I've seen so far. The character lines they have been emphasizing with the trailers are spot on to the character, such as "I will fight for those who cannot fight for themselves"'
and "Protecting innocent lives is my sacred mission" . This attention to the core of the character, along with the cinematography, has me excited. Plus, I'm playing Battlefield 1 at the moment so extra hyped.

I'll agree with you on Affleck; I think he was one of the redeeming qualities. My biggest problems with BvS were with the villains (particularly doomsday), the pacing, and Superman's flat character arc.

Affleck has real potential carry JL though. I'm remaining (very) cautiously optimistic

My main reservation on Wonder Woman is the chance of a weak villain.

We're a month away and we haven't heard any rumors about studio intervention or rewrites or lengthy reshoots. (They did have reshoots, but Gadot was very pregnant so they were probably fairly minimal.) So, so far, it doesn't sound like we have another Suicide Squad on our hands.

If they allowed Patty Jenkins to make a complete movie, it should be very good.
